Once Human servers are divided into separate worlds. This means even if you and your friends join the same server, you might need to quickly hop into a different world to be able to join up with them.
Thankfully, it's very easy to change worlds in Once Human and you access it very quickly by following the main quest progression. You should be able to change worlds within five to ten minutes of starting the game, which means you won't have to wait long or do anything difficult to party up with your friends.
Unfortunately, at the time of writing you can only switch worlds , not servers. You can read more about this here.
You Can Change Worlds At A Teleporter
The main quest will lead you towards a location with a Teleporter.
In our case, this was Dreadsville — we're not sure if this is the same for every starting location or if it differs between players.
Regardless, once you've unlocked the Teleporter all you need to do is fast travel to it, walk up to it, and press G on your keyboard to be able to jump between worlds. Make sure to communicate with your pals so that you can get on to the same world together.
You can also see the world's population from the dropdown list. This makes it easy to move between less populated and more populated worlds.
You Can't Change Servers
Currently, you are unable to change servers in Once Human. This is something that will likely be fixed, although we're not sure when. Make sure to pick the right server to play with your friends on, as you can't transfer characters across servers.
