Advancing and reaching important milestones requires diligent resource hunting, which is crucial to gameplay. There are several ways to obtain these materials: you can find them while exploring settlements and looting containers, craft them at one of your territorial facilities, or gather them in the open world.
How To Get Vanadium Crystals
Unlike most materials in the game that you can acquire through crafting or gathering in the open world,
Vanadium Crystal work differently; you’ll need to explore settlements and open crates to have a chance at obtaining them.
Each crystal type in the game is tied to a specific region, and Vanadium Crystals are unique to the Iron River region, likely the third area you'll encounter in the game. Every settlement in this region contains crates that may yield Vanadium Crystals, though the quantity can vary.
The more you loot, the higher your chances of acquiring more Vanadium Crystals.
When you open your map and hover over any settlement in the Iron River region, you’ll see Vanadium Crystals listed as one of the possible rewards.
However, if you've already completed all the settlements, don't worry — you can still re-loot the crates. Except for Mystical Crates, all other crates respawn a few hours after being looted, so you’ll always have a chance to gather Vanadium Crystals when you need them.
Bringing a friend along will make exploring these settlements much easier, or you can always speedrun the location, quickly looting crates and leaving if you're low on ammo or resources.
