Pokemon Go has been celebrating Go Fest 2024 over the last few months, hosting in-person events in a variety of locations, giving players the opportunity to attend and enjoy exclusive Pokemon Go features and bonuses. For those who cannot attend these live events, they have also been hosting global events to pair with these, including the Aquatic Paradise Event taking place this week!
The Aquatic Paradise Event will only be a four-day event, taking place from Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 10am local time to Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 8pm local time. Below you can find all there is to know about this event, including all the bonuses and features you can expect!
Pokemon Go Debut: Shiny Ducklett
You will have the chance of encountering Shiny Ducklett in Pokemon Go for the first time during the Aquatic Paradise Event! During this event you can encounter Ducklett as a wild encounter Pokemon and as a Timed Research reward, so make sure to take advantage of this opportunity to potentially catch a Shiny one.
Event Wild Encounter Pokemon
With this event having an aquatic theme, there will be several Water-type Pokemon appearing in the wild more frequently during the Aquatic Paradise Event. Each of these seven event-themed Pokemon can be found below:
- Ducklett
- Frillish
- Staryu
- Horsea
- Clamperl
- Wingull
- Corphish
Event Incense Encounter Pokemon
In addition to the event-themed Pokemon appearing in the wild, there will also be event-themed Incense Encounter Pokemon. When using Incense throughout this event, you will have the chance of encountering and catching:
- Shellder
- Lapras
- Finneon
- Frillish
Although you will have increased chances of encountering the Pokemon above when using Incense, you will still encounter other Pokemon as well.
Event Bonuses
There will be two different bonuses active throughout the Aquatic Paradise Event, available to all players who log in and play during the event window.
First, when using Incense throughout this event, you will have increased odds of encountering event-themed Pokemon. Make sure to use Incense and adventure in Pokemon Go to encounter and catch as many event-themed Pokemon as possible.
Second, catching any Pokemon will provide you with double the XP during this event. To further increase this XP bonus, use the Lucky Egg item prior to catching Pokemon, doubling all XP that you earn for 30 minutes.
Because of this double catch XP bonus, do your best to catch Pokemon using accurate throws.
Doing so provides you with the most XP per catch.

You will be able to purchase Timed Research for this event through the Pokemon Go in-game shop, costing $1.99 USD. Those who purchase this Timed Research will be given access to various tasks, requiring you to adventure and catch different Pokemon during this event.
