Pokemon Go is hosting another one of their Egg-focused Hatch Days this month, this time featuring Cleffa, the pre-evolution of Clefairy. In addition to this Hatch Day possessing the typical bonuses for this type of event, there will be extended bonuses active in the days leading up to this event.
That being said, the main Cleffa Hatch Day Event will only be active for three hours, taking place on Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 2pm local time to 5pm local time. Below you can find all details regarding this Hatch Day event, as well as bonuses that will be available in the days leading up to it.
Featured Pokemon: Cleffa
Cleffa will be the featured Pokemon for this Hatch Day, the Fairy-type Pokemon from the franchise's second generation.
During the three hours of this Hatch Day, your chances of hatching Cleffa from 2 km Eggs will be greatly increased. That being said, although you will have a significantly higher chance of hatching Cleffa from these Eggs, it will still be possible to hatch the other Pokemon that are also in the 2 km Egg pool.
The easiest way to obtain different 2 km Eggs is to spin different PokeStops in Pokemon Go.
With Cleffa being the featured Pokemon for this Hatch Day, Cleffa hatched from Eggs during this Hatch Day will have significantly higher odds of being Shiny. Make sure to acquire and hatch as many 2 km Eggs as you can during this limited-time event, giving you great odds of obtaining a Shiny Cleffa.
To maximize your chances of obtaining a Shiny Cleffa during this event, make sure you are moving around and traveling distance during this Hatch Day.
This will allow you to constantly hatch and obtain new Eggs throughout this event.
Hatch Day Bonuses
During this three-hour Hatch Day, there will be two Egg-themed bonuses available to all players. Fitting the focus of this event, these two bonuses will allow you to acquire and hatch more Eggs, as well as improve the rewards for doing so. These two Cleffa Hatch Day bonuses include:
- You will earn twice the Candy from hatching Eggs.
- You will have a higher chance of obtaining 2 km Eggs from spinning PokeStop Photo Discs.
Hatch Day Research
Free Event Timed Research
At the start of this Hatch Day, you will be granted access to event Timed Research, free for all players who log in and play during the three hours of this event. Completing the different requirements for this Timed Research will provide you with a Super Incubator and XP.
You will only have until the end of Cleffa Hatch Day to complete this Timed Research.
After 5pm local time on the day of the event, you will no longer be able to complete tasks or claim rewards from this Timed Research.
Paid Event Timed Research
There will also be an additional Timed Research available to complete during this Hatch Day, this one costing $1.00 USD at the Pokemon Go in-game shop. To complete this Timed Research, you will be required to travel 2 km in Pokemon Go and hatch an Egg, rewarding you with a Star Piece, Super Incubator, and XP.
Additionally, those who purchase this Paid Timed Research will benefit from an extra bonus throughout Cleffa Hatch Day. Ticket-holders will receive twice the Stardust from hatching Eggs throughout this event.
Like the free Timed Research, you will have to complete this Timed Research before Cleffa Hatch Day concludes.
Make sure you are completing all tasks for this Timed Research prior to the end of this event to ensure that you get the maximum value for your purchase.
Extended Event Bonuses And Features
Unique to this Hatch Day, there will be additional bonuses available to all players, extending outside the main Cleffa Hatch Day event. These extended bonuses will be available to all players from Friday, April 26, 2024, at 10am local time to Sunday, April 28, 2024, at 5pm local time.
The first extended bonus will allow you to hatch more Eggs while it is active, reducing the hatch distance of all Eggs placed in Incubators during this window to half. This will not only allow you to quickly hatch different Eggs, but will also allow you to quickly free up more space for you to acquire new Eggs.
Use this bonus to stock up on 2 km Eggs in the days leading up to this event.
This will help to ensure that you are hatching as many Cleffa as possible during the main Hatch Day event.
For the second extended bonus, there will be event-themed Field Research Tasks available to claim at PokeStops before and during the Cleffa Hatch Day. Completing these Field Research Tasks will reward you with XP and Stardust.
