Future Iron Hands Deck Best Cards
The Future Iron Hands deck is a highly adaptable and flexible deck. Many of the cards included in it are important but can be switched out for different options, depending on the gameplay you are seeking to achieve. There are also some cards that are essential for gameplay, creating the structure that makes the Future Iron Hands deck the deck that is it.
Below, learn about some of the best cards to include in this deck. This includes essential cards, such as Iron Hands ex itself, as well as cards that can be helpful against certain matchups.
Iron Crown Ex
Although Iron Crown ex is not the main attacker in this deck, it is an invaluable addition. Iron Crown ex’s Abilty, Cobalt Command, allows for attacks used by any of your other Future Pokemon to do 20 more damage. This damage is applied before Weakness and Resistance as well. Not only that, however, but this powerful Ability stacks.
This deck does play a select amount of basic Psychic Energies. These can be attached to Iron Crown ex, allowing it to use its attack Twin Shotels, to attack your opponent’s Bench as needed.
When an Ability stacks, it means that several identical Abilities can be in play at once, all while active. This means that if you have two Iron Crown ex cards played on your Bench, your Future Pokemon can do 40 more damage. With three Iron Crown ex cards in play, Future Pokemon can do 60 more.
Cobalt Command will never apply to an Iron Crown ex. This means that, even if you have two Iron Crown ex cards in play, they can not boost each other’s attacks.
As a result, Iron Crown ex is an essential tech card in the Future Iron Hands deck. It can boost the attacks of your Future Pokemon by 80 if you have Iron Crown ex cards in play. While this is powerful when paired with any Future Pokemon designed to do damage, it is exceptionally strategic when paired with Iron Hands ex.
Iron Hands Ex
In the Future Iron Hands deck, Iron Hands ex is the main attacker. Miraidon can be helpful, especially given that it is a single Prize Pokemon capable of doing minimum of 160 damage through the use of its Sparking Strike attack, but Iron Hands ex is the Pokemon you will want to focus on powering up and utilizing.
This is because Iron Hand ex sports Amp You Very Much, a powerful attack with an even more powerful effect. The base damage for Amp You Very Much is 120. However, with all four Iron Crown ex cards in play, this can be boosted to 200 damage. If Future Booster Energy Capsule is attached, this can do up to 220 damage, which is enough to Knock Out many Pokemon.
However, what is most interesting about Amp You Very Much is its effect, which allows you to take an extra Prize Card if the Defending Pokemon is Knocked Out by that attack. As a result, if you Knock Out a single Prize Pokemon, you’ll instead get to take two Prize Cards. An ex Pokemon Knocked Out by this attack will instead yield three.
Amp You Very Much will only provide the additional Prize Card if the Defending Pokemon is Knocked Out by that attack. Iron Hands ex’s Arm Press attack can be helpful in dealing damage, but it won’t allow you to take an additional Prize Card.
Arven
There are several key Item cards included in this deck, as well as a variety of Tool cards you’ll want to utilize. As a result, Arven can be essential to ensuring you have all the cards you need to deal the most damage each turn.
Arven can be especially important at the beginning and at the end of the game. During the beginning, Arven can help secure valuable Item cards like Techno Radar and Electric Generator. At the end, it can help find last-minute Tool attachments like Future Booster Energy Capsule and Technical Machine: Crisis Punch.
Technical Machine: Crisis Punch
Technical Machine: Crisis Punch is not essential to gameplay. However, by including this Tool card, you’ll have a better chance at navigating some of the tougher matchups for the Future Iron Hands deck.
Given the Energy costs for most Pokemon in this deck, almost any Pokemon that is powered up to attack can readily use Technical Machine: Crisis Punch. Although it won’t provide an extra Prize Card like Iron Hands ex’s Amp You Very Much attack, it can be helpful when trying to win r to the end of the game.
Future Iron Hands Deck Strategy
Because the Future Iron Hands deck doesn’t play any Evolution Pokemon, going second can be your best option. This is because you can attack your first turn while also playing important Supporter cards like Arven.
On the ideal first turn with this deck, you’ll be able to use Arven to secure at least an Iron Hands ex. When possible, going ahead and Benching an Iron Crown ex can also be helpful. If you do use Arven, it can be beneficial to grab a Heavy Baton or Future Booster Energy Capsule from the deck as well.
If you are able to secure enough Energies to attack with Iron Hands ex on your first turn through the use of turn attachments and Electric Generator, then this can be a great time to take an early Prize Card or two.
With Amp You Very Much on the second turn in the entire game, you’ll likely be able to secure an early Knock Out on most Basic Pokemon. This is especially true against decks like Lost Box and Charizard ex.
If you cannot attack with Iron Hands ex on your first turn, it may be beneficial to instead attach for a turn to Miraidon and use its Peak Acceleration attack.
When you attach a Future Booster Energy Capsule, Miraidon's attack may also have the chance to secure a Knock Out while helping power up your Iron Hands ex.
Throughout the rest of the game, you’ll want to focus on denying your opponent Prize Cards by easily rotating Iron Hands ex out of the Active Spot and dealing large amounts of damage whenever possible.
Future Iron Hands Deck Common Threats
Although you may be able to take Prize Cards early against this deck, one of the biggest threats for the Future Iron Hands deck is Charizard ex.
This is because the Tera Charizard ex deck scales as you take more Prize Cards. It also sports powerful Pokemon with high HPs, making it difficult to secure any Knock Outs in a single turn later in the game.
At the end of the game, Technical Machine: Crisis Punch can help secure a final Knock Out against a Charizard ex or Pidgeot ex, earning you two Prize Cards. If you are at risk of losing the game because you are one Prize Card off of their one, this can help end the game in your favor.
