Rise Of The Ronin: Kogoro Katsura Bond Guide

«I’m about to unleash my most deadly technique» — Kogoro Katsura (There was, in fact, no deadly technique.)

Rise Of The Ronin: Kogoro Katsura Bond Guide

Rise Of The Ronin is full of bizarre encounters. For instance, you could get into a scuffle with a drunk swordsman at a geisha lodging house one night and later become good friends. At least that's the case with Kogoro Katsura, the easy-going expulsionist with a taste for good sake. While your first meeting may be rocky, you'll find that Katsura is a steadfast, dependable ally.

Rise Of The Ronin doesn't do nearly enough to clue us into Katsura's interests outside of booze. So, you'll find that bonding with him requires gifting him plenty of beer and liquor. You'll also gain many opportunities to fight alongside Katsura for the anti-shogunate cause. His friendship is worth pursuing and will increase your ability in the Shinto Munen-ryu combat style.

Updated April 20, 2024: Our latest update adds several details we learned about bonding with Kogoro Katsura in Chapter 3. For instance, we found new accessories for him to visit our longhouse. We also added a new Bond Mission, a training dojo match, and a table featuring all three of Katsura's home bases. Finally, we learned how to romance and form a Veiled Vow with Katsura!
