Roblox: Fisch — How To Get All Bait

In Fisch on Roblox, bait is essential for improving your fishing results and giving you the chance to hook a variety of catches, including rare and Mythic fish. However, obtaining bait isn’t always as simple as it seems.

You can stock up on bait by purchasing crates on Moosewood or other islands, or you can take on NPC quests — these may reward you with different bait supplies that can help you catch certain fish. With the right combination, you’ll be equipped for any situation, making it easier to earn cash and succeed in your fishing adventures in Fisch.

How To Get Bait

Roblox: Fisch - How To Get All Bait

There are two main ways to get bait when you’re playing Fisch: one is Bait Crates and the other has to do with NPCs.

Bait Crates are widely available, but you aren’t limited to buying Bait Crates as a player. As well as Bait Crates, you can speak to a select few NPCs in-game to earn or buy bait in different ways.

Buy Bait Crates

Roblox: Fisch - How To Get All Bait

The easiest way to gather bait is by purchasing Bait Crates from Moosewood. Walk past the scoreboards towards the rocks on the shore and you’ll see a few stacked crates; interact with them to buy a crate for 120C$.

Each crate contains five pieces of bait, which is perfect for players who want to buy bait en masse to try and get specific baits that are needed to catch rare or elusive fish. You can’t buy bait separately, and the bait you get in Bait Crates is completely random.

You can find Bait Crates on these islands:

  • Moosewood — Past the scoreboards (Bait Crates, 120C$).
  • Roslit Bay — Next to the Merchant on the Beach (Bait Crates, 120C$).
  • Sunstone Island — Next to Rhea on the platform the ladder leads to (Bait Crates, 120C$).
  • Terrapin Island — Above the Shipwright (Quality Bait Crates, 525C$).

Find The Traveling Merchant

You can also obtain bait from Carbon Crates and Volcanic Geodes. These can be bought from the Traveling Merchant (or occasionally obtained while fishing).

These crates are especially helpful when you’re starting out, as they offer a mix of bait types to help you explore the many fish species in the game. They won’t always contain bait, though, and it’s a risk to buy them. They may only contain money, so be sure you want to buy these crates and not the Bait Crates.

Fisch will give you an in-game notification when the Traveling Merchant appears on one of the islands. When you go out searching, look for a small boat with an NPC on it. It’s a little smaller than a rowboat.

How To Earn Bait By Completing Quests

Another reliable source of bait is completing quests. NPCs across Fisch offer different missions that reward players with bait. One notable quest is from the NPC Phineas, who challenges players to catch ten fish with bait-equipped rods. In return for completing the quest, he’ll give you 20 Bait Crates.

Phineas can be found on Moosewood opposite the Merchant. He’s wearing a blue and white shirt and a blue cap.

Angler NPCs may also reward you with Bait Crates as part of their quest rewards. You can talk to any Angler to get a new quest, but you can only take one Angler quest at a time.

Catch Bait From The Ocean

Roblox: Fisch - How To Get All Bait

There are some types of bait that you can catch from the ocean and around the various islands in Fisch. Seaweed is fairly common and can be caught from anywhere, but other fishy types of bait require a bit more finesse.

These are the types of bait you can catch from the ocean and where to find them:

  • Minnow — Roslit Bay
  • Night Shrimp — Vertigo (use a crab cage)
  • Seaweed — Ocean
  • Shrimp — Ocean (use a crab cage)
  • Squid — Roslit Bay

How To Equip Bait To Your Fishing Rod

Roblox: Fisch - How To Get All Bait

To equip any bait to your fishing rod, select your Equipment Bag from your quick-access inventory at the bottom of your screen.

You’ll see a list of the bait that you own on the right-hand side. To equip one, click the «Equip» button underneath the bait you want. This will add the bait to any fishing rod that you have equipped to your avatar, and you’ll keep using it until you run out.
