It's no secret that the Star Wars: Jedi series is expected to be a trilogy, or that, after the successful launch of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the third game is already in the works. That said, what is a secret is the direction that a third, and presumably final, game will take players and Cal Kestis.
The original Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order treated Star Wars fans to an enthralling Metroidvania x Soulslike adventure, complete with tight lightsaber combat and a story that was canon to the overarching Star Wars saga. It was a massive win for Respawn Entertainment, who, to that point, were most famously known for their work on Titanfall. It was also a massive win for EA, which had arguably squandered its opportunities with the Star Wars license prior to Jedi.
That first experience was followed up with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor in 2023. The game was bigger in nearly every way and included several lightsaber stances, including a crossguard lightsaber stance akin to that of Kylo Ren. It also had more expansive areas and way bigger setpieces.
And so, based off its trajectory, the sky is the limit for a third game. Rapid Star Wars fans took to Reddit to share exactly what they'd like to see in a third game, and the results are largely pretty sound.

Fans Want A Longer Game With Deeper Combat Options
In a third title, one fan opined that instead of new lightsaber stances, they'd like to see Respawn expand on what is already present. That way, the combat that was nearly perfected in Survivor can be even deeper and more fluid. "I want some way more diverse parry animations, better balancing with ranged units that don’t grind encounters to a halt, stuff like that," the user wrote. They also suggested some sort of duel feature to square off against other blade users.
Elsewhere, a fan hoped that the third game would be longer. As it stands, the first game, Fallen Order, has a runtime of 17 hours, according to HowLongToBeat, while Survivor clocks in at about 20 hours, give or take. An extra five to 10 hours of length would push the game further in line with other action titles in its class while avoiding unnecessary bloat.
Perhaps the most intriguing of the requests is more dark side influences. The dark side has been explored somewhat, and a fan wants to see a third game fully embrace it. "Dark side temptation seems like a good arc for Cal at this point, plus relevant abilities. Don’t get me wrong, Cal needs to remain good by the end but any great Jedi story I feel has to come with the temptation arc," the user wrote. A separate user furthered that idea by suggesting Light and Dark Side mechanics similar to what Infamous had.
Above all, we'd be remiss not to mention that equippable hoods and cloaks were frequently mentioned as a necessary cosmetic. Oh, and ponchos. There can never be enough ponchos.
