In Stardew Valley, Ginger Island is filled with tons of secrets and puzzles for you to solve. Each area of the island brings something new, which can be very exciting for first-time visitors. One puzzle that you will eventually stumble upon is the Gem Bird puzzle.

This puzzle is rather simple, but finding it can be half the battle. In this guide, we are going to take a look at how to complete the Gem Bird Puzzle. It's important to note that this puzzle is randomized for everyone, so there is no definite solution that you can quickly find.

Where Is The Gem Bird Puzzle?

The Gem Bird puzzle is located in Island East, which is the jungle area where Leo lives. On the right-hand side of this area, you can find a Parrot Express hutch with a stone path leading to it. Directly to the left of the hutch, there is a bush with the path to the Gem Birds directly below it.

Basically, just follow the stone path until you pass into the trees and enter the Gem Bird puzzle location.

How To Complete The Gem Bird Puzzle

Once here, you will see four pedestals in a diamond shape, with a shrine-like statue at the top. Upon interacting with the shrine, you will see the following riddle.

When dark clouds cry, begin your quest

To seek the fabled gem-birds four

Each day, one north, south, east, or west

Arrange their gifts upon my door

To solve this puzzle, you will need to visit the four main outdoor areas of the island on rainy days. When you do, you'll spot a bird that drops a gem associated with that area. The gem will then need to be picked up and placed on the corresponding pedestal. For example, if the gem came from Island North, then you will place it on the top pedestal.

The weather for Ginger Island can be c hecked from your television on the previous day (if the island is unlocked). You can also use a Rain Totem to force rain.

What Gems Drop?

In total, the Gem Birds have a chance to drop one of the following gems. The gem placed doesn't have to be the one that was dropped, but you will need to see the bird to know which one to place.

• Aquamarine
• Topaz
• Amethyst
• Emerald
• Ruby

We recommend seeking out the birds; there are 120 possible combinations for this puzzle , so guessing would take a lot of time.
