Jae Jimenez Jung is the camerawoman for The Crush House (and arguably most of its other roles, too), and stepping into her cool 90's shoes, it's up to you to produce a few seasons of good reality TV. You'll have dozens of audiences to consider when you cast and record your reality show.
But things aren't all what they seem to be in The Crush House — why does nobody remember their previous seasons, and why do there seem to be so many conspiracy theorists in the audience? It's up to you to solve the mysteries in The Crush House!

How Do You Run Advertisements?
You’re told early on that you’ll need to run as many ads as you can in order to make the advertising revenue cash necessary to place props around The Crush House. Paintings, karaoke machines, and statues of flame-throwing gnomes aren’t free, after all!
To run ads in The Crush House during a day of shooting, all you need to do is stop filming for a bit, and you’ll see on the camcorder screen in the bottom right corner of the screen as your network plays short ad reads for various products while you’re off the air for a moment.
I've found that the most reliable way to earn the most money from ads in The Crush House is to satisfy the audience and then run ads until the end of the day . Satisfied audiences spill their enthusiasm over into other groups watching, but once everyone is fully satisfied for the day or you've at least reached the requisite number of satisfied audiences for the network, put the camera down until your PA walkies you to tell you it's a wrap on the day.
You unlock new ads for each day you keep The Crush House on the air, and it pays to be mindful of your audiences that day! You’ll earn extra ad revenue by playing ads to the right audience, making them that much more effective. It works in the opposite direction, too, though, in that replaying the same ad makes it pay out less the second time.
It’s easier to avoid the repetition once you’ve gotten through a couple of seasons and have more ads to cycle through on commercial breaks. If you’re not playing the right ad, you can change to the next ad in the cycle manually to ensure you’re playing the best ads at all time.
How Do You Get Onto The Roof Before The Season Finale?
If you flipped through the achievements for The Crush House, you may have noticed that one of them is for getting onto the roof before you’re brought there automatically to film the cast going down the Success Slide on the final day of their season. The awnings by the pool are just the right height to reach the roof of The Crush House before the finale, but you’ll need to be careful about your hops. Charge a jump with the space bar to move more effectively.
There are a couple ways to the ground you need, but the goal is getting onto the hearts on the awning and jumping to the roof from there. This is best done after filming is done for the day, since you’ll miss out on valuable content trying to hop around the house during the day.
How To Get Onto The Roof Of The Crush House Outside The Season Finale
If you haven’t gotten the Free Fallin’ achievement for getting Jae killed yet, the roof is the best place to do it – all you have to do is jump toward the lighthouse out back and into the pink security spikes below.
How Many Endings Does The Crush House Have?
Once you’ve learned that The Crush House is perhaps not all it appears to be on the surface, you'll meet the "Mysterious Woman” and her cohort downstairs after you complete one request for a cast member after speaking to them once the cameras are turned off for the day. The night you turn it in, you’ll be summoned to the basement of The Crush House.
In the name of not giving everything away in this FAQ, you’ll eventually need to side with one of these characters over the other after you’ve worked more with them and gained their trust. While they have the same background, the two characters are hoping for two very different outcomes in The Crush House.
As such, there seems to be two endings to the game, decided entirely by who you’ve chosen to side with. There isn't free play or New Game Plus in The Crush House, so if you've still got stuff you want to see when the ending plays out, you'll need to replay the entire game to make different choices that time around.
Can You Make Your Footage Less Blurry?
There was a known bug at launch that made it tougher to un-blur the camera while you were using it, and some players report this being fixed while others seem to still be experiencing it. Some camcorders just never seem to want to focus on the action, so keep an eye on the game’s Steam page for more.
Sometimes when you're filming things around The Crush House, you can find the footage on the camcorder to be blurry from time to time. This usually means that you're too to the subject to film it clearly, which is remedied by either messing with the zoom on the camera to get the shot back into focus, or physically stepping back.
It's important to watch where the reticle in the center of the camcorder screen is, since this is what the camera will be focusing on the most clearly. Everything else that isn't in the reticle will end up blurry as a side effect, so aim the reticle at what you're trying to focus on in the shot to ensure it's clear enough for the audience.
How Do You Appeal To (Specific Audience)?
Your production assistant tells you outright before you begin filming your very first episode of The Crush House: the audience is always right. This is your clue that you’ll need to focus on satisfying the given audiences each day while you’re filming the show.
Each of the 35 audience types are identified by an icon correlating to their interests (Voyeurs are the eyeballs, Pyromaniacs are the flame, etc.), both on the camcorder screen for Jae to see while you’re actively filming and on screen as you record.
I’ve seen unsatisfied audiences tune out of the show before the end of the day, and they were replaced by standard Crush Fans, a audience that's generally easier to satisfy. Don’t rely on this happening, but it’s a decent fallback if all else fails!
Seeing an icon in your camcorder means that audience likes what you’re shooting, and you can gauge by the points you’re receiving how much they like it. The general rule is, the more of that thing is in the shot, the better. For instance, if you can film someone standing in the conversation pit with the Peach Pillow in the background, the Butt Guys will be very keen on it.
Each type of audience has content, cast members, and props they like best, so you'll need to sus out what these are in order to satisfy the audience. Some of them are pretty straightforward, like how the Boys for Boys group likes any male cast member, but Fish Freaks like Coco because of the fishnet top. Think carefully about which props and situations offer points for these categories when they're watching.
You’ll need to pay attention to the comments to see what each audience is asking for, as they’re asking for it. Delivering the content that they want at the moment gives more points, since audience satisfaction is key to successful days of shooting. The network wants to keep their viewers, after all. Because of this, satisfy three or more audiences at once for an On Fire boost, which rewards extra points while in effect.
It’s worth noting, though, that you only get so many points for a shot , as the audience will grow bored quickly and want to see something new that satisfies them. It’s best to milk a shot for what it’s worth before moving onto something else, especially if the audience is satisfied by the time you change the camera.
How Can You Film The Success Slide For Two Minutes?
When you first cast Bea in a season of The Crush House, she, just like the rest of her fellow cast mates, will eventually request something of Jae once the cameras have turned off at the end of a day of shooting. You’ll typically find her outside by the fire pit looking at the Success Slide.
She knows it won’t make for great TV, but Bea would like you to film the Success Slide for two minutes total in one day of filming. She never stresses that it needs to be consecutive minutes, but you’ll see a gauge on the left side of the screen with Bea’s face near the progress bar, indicating that the shot you have is sufficient for filming the Success Slide.
It can be fairly challenging to do this if you have too many audiences to satisfy, but at least Conspiracy Theorists and Spiral Seekers like the Success Slide, so it’s helpful to try to do this on a day they’re watching. The fire pit is also great for Pyromaniacs, and plenty of conversations happen on the bench near it for the Wholesome, Nursing Home Residents, and Drama Queens.
If you stop filming the Success Slide for any reason, the meter begins to drain, but it’s not that fast. Sure, you’ll lose progress, but if you need to re-frame your shot to satisfy some audiences along the way, not having the timer reset immediately is a helpful feature!
If all else fails, though, it’s surprisingly easy to film the Success Slide on the day of the finale, since it’ll be prominently in your shot that day, anyway. It takes the four cast members about two minutes to all say their piece and actually go down the slide, and you can even linger the camera there before you go down yourself if need be.
Relying on the finale for the shot does mean you’ll need to have Bea back for a second season of The Crush House to complete the quest by speaking to her outside after the cameras are off again, but you’ve got 12 cast members and 20 total slots on the show between the five seasons, so there was bound to be some overlap, anyway.
