Yesterday, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom received a brand-new trailer detailing the world and showing off Princess Zelda's loveable horse. The trailer was also accompanied by some interesting key art.
Little did we know that fast-forward 24 hours, this key art would be causing quite a stir, as the Japanese version differs from the English one, with the former showing a very intriguing character.
Who Is The Floating Little Guy?
Stealth40k, a prominent member of the online gaming community, shared on Twitter a picture of the Japanese and English Echoes of Wisdom lined up, one on top of the other.
From the screenshot, it became immediately apparent that the English version of the art was significantly more zoomed in than its Japanese counterpart, meaning some key details were hidden.
There are a couple of smaller components excluded from the English variant, including a small snake enemy and a wanted poster featuring the face of the titular princess; however, it's an unknown character tucked away that has the Zelda community talking.
Hidden in the top-left-hand corner of the Japanese art is a little fellow donning a red outfit and an accompanying Glengarry-style cap. In his hands, he appears to be holding some kind of medal, trophy, or flower. The character is floating using a glider, not too dissimilar to those seen in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Unfortunately, while fans can just about see him floating away in the corner, nobody can quite work out who he is, leading to discussions online; however, while these discussions persist, nobody has been able to pinpoint the chaps true identity, meaning we've potentially got our first look at one of the series' newest characters.
