Wuthering Waves had quite an interesting launch since many people got into the game because of the hype, but there were also a ton of optimization issues. Thankfully, most of these issues were fixed with the 1.1 update, which also brought along Jinhsi as a playable character through the limited banner.
Jinhsi is a five-star Spectro character using a Broadblade as her weapon. She relies on her special Resonance Skill and Liberation for most of her damage, but you'll first have to build her using the right materials if you want to beat the endgame content.
Jinhsi Ascension Materials
If you want to get Jinhsi to level 90, you'll have to go through multiple ascensions. These ascensions are first gated by your current SOL phase, but once you can trigger them, you'll need certain materials:

Here's how you can easily get each one of these materials:
- Loong's Pearl is a special material that can only be found on the northern side of Mt. Firmament near Loong's Rest. Most of it is inside a cave that you can enter through the very top of the area. However, you'll have to reach Act Seven of Huanglong's story to get to this place.
- Howler Core is a common mob drop that you can find from numerous types of mobs in the world. If you've farmed the world for Echoes, it's likely that you already have a bunch of these.
- Elegy Tacet Core is a world boss item dropped by the Mourning Aix boss. This boss is located to the south of Huanglong, just below the Court of Savantae Ruins. It's also one of the best main echoes to use with Jinhsi.
- Finally, you can get Shell Credits from almost everything you do in the game. However, if you're still lacking them, you can use your Waveplate in a Simulation Challenge to get a ton.
Jinhsi Forte Materials
Apart from getting increased base stats, the main reason to ascend Jinhsi is the fact that these ascensions allow you to reach a higher level on your main abilities while also unlocking some special nodes. However, you'll need to spend quite a lot of materials to upgrade your Forte once they're unlocked.
Apart from the Howler drops, you'll need to farm Waveworn Residue and Sentinel's Dagger to get these upgrades. The latter is only required for forte past level six or to unlock Inherent Skills and some stat nodes. Here's how you can get these:
- For Waveworn Residue, you'll need to spend your Waveplate in the Eroded Ruins Forgery Challenge found in the Wuming Bay area of Huanglong. You can also acquire these from certain limited-time events.
- On the other hand, Sentinel's Dagger can be acquired by fighting the weekly boss Jue in Mt. Firmament. Though you can only do this three times a week, so it's recommended to do that every week.
