You need to learn to utilize your DPS characters well to crush enemies and bosses easily in Wuthering Waves. You can play as Spectro Rover as soon as you start your playthrough. While many players tend to switch to other characters later in the game, you might not want to miss out on Spectro Rover's capabilities.
Spectro Rover doesn't deal the most damage right off of the bat, and to make the most out of their playstyle, you need to use their Resonance Skills, and Combos effectively. They can be a helpful ally to your team, as a Sub-DPS or Support.
Focus On Building Up Diminutive Sound
Spectro Rover's damage-dealing potential relies heavily on their Diminutive Sound mechanics. You can gain up to 100 Dimunitive Sounds for your Forte Circuit, enhancing your Resonance skill and basic attacks. So, we recommend you level up their Forte Circuit as much as you can.
Spectro Rover will obtain Diminutive Sounds every time, you use their Intro Skill: Waveshock, Heavy Attack: Aftertune, or their basic attack: Vibration Manifestation. If you have more than 50 Dimunitive Sounds stored in your Forte Ciruit, your Resonance Skill will turn into Resonating Spin inflicting Spectro damage to the enemies.
Spectro Rover's Resonance Skill Cooldown is only six seconds, so you can use it over and over again to inflict a lot of Spectro damage without waiting a lot.
Once, you have used Resonating Spin, follow it up with a basic attack to cast Resonating Echoes. Spectro Rover will deal additional Spectro damage after dashing forward. If you have saved a total of 100 Diminutive Sounds, you can cast Resonating Spin twice. However, make sure to follow up with a basic attack right away, so you won't miss the attack.
Most of Spectro Rover's damage will come from their Resonance Skill, so make sure to upgrade their Resonance Skill and Forte Circuit in the Forte Menu. You may also want to upgrade the Inheritent Skill: Retinance to increase the damage of Resonating Echoes by 60 percent.
Practice Spectro Rover's Basic Combo Attacks
To utilize Spectro Rover's combos, you need a lot of practice, as you won't wanna miss a combo hit during fights, especially when you are cornered by enemies. You can combine your basic attacks with heavy attacks to inflict a lot of Spectro damage.
There are two heavy attack combos that you can master with Spectro Rover. If you hit an opponent three times with a basic attack or a heavy attack and then follow it up with a basic attack, then you will successfully do the Heavy Attack: Resonance Combo.
Heavy Attack: Aftertune is a bit of a challenging combo, and to do it successfully, you need to follow up a Heavy Attack: Resonance Combo or a Dodge Counter with a basic attack, to inflict additional Spectro damage.
Make sure to upgrade the Inherent Skill: Silent Listener in the Forte Menu, as it increases Spectro Rover's Attack by 15 percent every five seconds after you use the Heavy Attack: Resonance.
Use Spectro's Outro Skill To Your Advantage
Spectro Rover's Outro Skill: Instant can be very useful, especially if you are surrounded by multiple enemies. After you have stored some of your Concerto Energy, you can switch on to your next DPS character to trigger her Outro Skill. It will slow down the time near the surrounding character for three seconds.
While the skill doesn't last long, it can give you the upper hand when you are in a pinch. It will also allow you to dodge attacks easily, and you can dish out as much damage as you can during the limited time.
Upgrade Spectro Rover's Resonance Chain For Support
If you upgrade their Resonance Chain after obtaining Spectro Rover's Wavebands, you can also use them as a decent healer and support character. On their fourth Resonance Chain, Spectro Rover will heal your team by 20 percent of her attack every second for five seconds, after you use Resonance Liberation.
While her Resonance Liberation is underwhelming, you can increase its damage by 40 percent if you upgrade her Resonance Chain to five. If you fully upgrade it, You can also lower your Target's Spectro Resistance by ten percent every time you hit them with your Resonance Skill. This effect stays for a total of 20 seconds.
Spectro Rover Works Well As A Support DPS
During the early part of Wuthering Waves, Spectro Rover will be your Main DPS till you obtain some other hard-hitting characters. While Spectro Rover does deal a lot of Spectro damage, overall their damage-dealing potential isn't that good, especially if you compare them to other strong characters like Calcharo, Encore, and Jiyan.
Spectro Rover is good at crowd control, as they can hit multiple enemies with her capabilities. However, they aren't good at boss battles, considering their playstyle. You are better off using her to beat mobs gathered together while taking advantage of her skills. So, we recommend you to use her as a support DPS, with your other main damage dealers.
