The premiere for Yellowstone spinoff series Marshals has arrived. If you want to catch up with Luke Grime’s Kayce Dutton, there’s an easy way to watch Season 1 Episode 1 for free right now.
Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone came to an end in December 2024, with the Dutton siblings entering a fresh start following John Dutton’s (Kevin Coster) death. It was a natural conclusion for them, but given the popularity of the show, it didn’t take long for spinoffs to get the greenlight.
The Dutton Ranch is currently in development, centering on Beth and Rip Wheeler. But before then we’ve got Marshals, following Kayce as he joins an elite unit of US Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana.
Episode 1 aired on CBS last night (March 1) before dropping on streaming the next day. But if you want to just test the waters or you’re on a budget this month, you can watch it without spending a dime.
How to watch Marshals for free
If you don’t have cable or you missed it live, Marshals Season 1 Episode 1 is now available for watching on Paramount+, and there are a number of free trials available from Walmart+ and T-Mobile.
The streaming service used to offer eligible viewers a seven-day free trial for both its premium and essential packages, but this has since been removed.
However, if you’re a subscriber of Walmart+, you can get a Paramount+ Essential plan for free. What’s more, Walmart+ offers a 30-day trial for just $1, so you could essentially have access to both for a month without breaking the bank.

Alternatively, there is another way to stream Marshals for free: T-mobile customers with an All-In Home Internet plan are eligible for a free Paramount+ Essentials subscription.
To access this, you’ll need to login to your T-mobile account and, once verified, you’ll be redirected to create an account with Paramount+. All-In-Home Internet subscribers can head here to find out more.
And if you’re wanting to catch new Marshals episodes when they first air on CBS but you don’t have cable, there’s a way to do this on a budget too.
How to watch Yellowstone spinoff live and free
Paramount+
All you need to do is sign up for a free trial to a TV service that offers CBS. In addition to the Paramount+ Premium package, that includes Hulu + Live TV, which has a three-day free trial for newcomers.
You can also try DirecTV Stream, which carries CBS in most markets and currently offers a five-day free trial on select plans.
Other options include YouTube TV and FuboTV, both of which stream CBS live in many areas and frequently run free trial promotions for new subscribers (trial lengths may vary).
As long as CBS is available in your local lineup, you’ll be able to watch Marshals live when it airs – just be sure to cancel before the trial period ends if you don’t want to be charged.
When is Episode 2 out?
Paramount+
Marshals Episode 2 airs on CBS at 8pm ET/PT and 7pm CT on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when it will simultaneously premiere on Paramount+ Premium. If you’re just subscribed to Paramount+ Essentials, it will be available for streaming the next day, March 9.
The good news is there are 13 episodes in Season 1 of the new TV show, with single episodes dropping each Sunday before streaming on Monday. You can check out the full release schedule below:
