TikTok users in Los Angeles are going viral for a bizarre new trend where they run into Scientology buildings to see how far they can get before being stopped and thrown out.
The clips, often filmed in Hollywood, show creators rushing through the front doors, sprinting down hallways, and sometimes even using skateboards to push deeper into the building. The goal is simple: make it as far inside as possible.
The challenge has quickly been dubbed the “Scientology run,” with users trying to one-up each other after one viral clip claimed to show the “deepest recorded run.”
One of the most viral videos has over 35 million views in a week.
What is the Scientology run trend?
Another POV that’s spreading across TikTok shows a teenager skating toward the lobby before the doors close behind him, while other clips end with staff stepping in and escorting people out.
So far, though, no one has managed to get very far – usually being shown the exit via a fire door on the side of the ground level.
Scientology’s long-running reputation for secrecy is increasing the temptation, with commenters daring others to beat the current “record” and make it further into the building.
While trolling Scientology locations has existed online for years, this specific “speedrun” format is new and has only started taking off in the last few weeks.
