England football star Jude Bellingham’s World Cup heroics have earned him an unusual tribute, with a London railway station being named after him.
According to the BBC, Thameslink has confirmed that Bellingham station in south-east London will be temporarily operating as “Jude Bellingham” until Monday after the midfielder’s starring display in England’s 3-2 World Cup win over Mexico.
The station originally revealed the temporary name change before England clashed with Mexico, but has now decided to keep it until the weekend after his two goals helped send England into the quarterfinals against Norway.

The Real Madrid midfielder was named Player of the Match after his performance against Mexico, with Harry Kane scoring England’s third goal.
Thameslink said it was extending the tribute in the hope that the renamed station could bring England a little more luck ahead of Saturday’s quarter-final against Norway.
“With the gift of Bellingham station on our network, we couldn’t resist joining in on some World Cup fun,” the operator said. “We unveiled Jude Bellingham station ahead of England’s match against Mexico as a nice way to cheer on our team. Little did we know then that Jude would end up scoring two out of the three goals in the game.”

While England fans have been praising Bellingham for his game-winning performance, he’s not the only player who has been getting a lot of attention.
