Your favorite last-gen console is about to get another release that will make it feel young once again. Traysia, an RPG title that originally released in 1992, is getting revived out of the blue, and it comes not only to the PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and the Xbox Series S/ X, but also on PS4 and Xbox One.
Slated for release on April 24, Traysia is officially on its way to modern platforms, and here is what’s officially confirmed so far.
Traysia PS5/ PS4 Release Date and Price: What’s Confirmed

The greatest confirmed detail about Traysia is its release date. The game is officially set to launch on April 24, 2026, as indicated on its digital storefronts, such as the Nintendo Store for the Switch. Additionally, the title will be available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, alongside other platforms like Xbox and PC.
This re-release is being handled by Ratalaika Games in collaboration with Shinyuden, bringing the classic title from developer Telenet Japan to a modern audience.
The game also fails to feature a price on its PlayStation and Steam platforms storefront, but mentions it being $5.99 for a digital copy on the aforementioned Nintendo Store, dropping it right into the budget-friendly price range.
The original game was exclusively launched for the Sega Genesis. However, this time around, it is launching simultaneously on multiple platforms, making it accessible for both console and PC players.

For those who are yet to play this classic RPG, which performed only arguably mediocre when it first came out, it’s a traditional fantasy RPG that delivers both an adventurous and an emotional narrative at the same time. The protagonist is Roy, who optimistically leaves his hometown in hopes of becoming a world-travelling adventurer.
Originally called Minato no Traysia in Japan, the game features a namesake character, a girl, who waits for Roy back in his hometown as he uncovers the destiny of his proposed adventures with three other characters who join him.
Wondering what’s going to be different with the new version of the game? Here’s every latest feature Ratalaika Games is bringing to the game releasing on April 24:
- Rewind/Turbo function: Repeat something until you achieve perfection, or speed things up
- Save state function: Save wherever you want to in the game, and restart from that exact point
- Screen filters: Select from several filters to modify how the game looks (retro-style monitor, black-and-white, etc.)
- Gallery: View images from the original game’s manual and box design
- Cheats function: Activate cheats that will make your mission a lot easier (infinite lives, invulnerability, etc.)
- Jukebox: Listen to the 21 music tracks included in the game whenever you want
Thankfully, despite these upgrades, Traysia is still largely faithful to its original design, meaning those who want a hit of nostalgia while still enjoying the title on a modern platform are in for a ride.
