Trump has been on the defensive

During an interview at the Oval Office in D.C., Kaitlan Collins was cut off before she could even finish a sentence. As the president reacted to a question about the Epstein Files, Trump reacted with hostility, flipping the question to instead attack Collins. While the veteran CNN reporter remained calm, accusations flew about her professionalism and demeanor.
Respect for Kaitlan Collins, a top-drawer journalist. Remained cool while he started mouthing off because she dared ask him about Epstein

“You are the worst reporter,” Trump said to Collins. “You know she’s a young woman. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you smile. I’ve known you for ten years. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a smile on your face. You know why you’re not smiling? Because you know you’re not telling the truth.”
The backlash came in response to Collins asking about the Epstein Files. As she pushed further, asking Trump what he would say to victims who feel as though they haven’t gotten justice, Trump implored her to ask something that “people care about.” He then insisted CNN’s viewer ratings are down and attributed it to Collins. He ended the interview by calling CNN a “dishonest organization,” and saying,“They should be ashamed of you.”
Collins maintained a neutral demeanor during the exchange, but she is not the first to be attacked by the president. Few have forgotten these heated exchanges, including those watching the interview playback on Reddit.
Reddit Reacts
Many users immediately defended Collins, calling out Trump’s repeated behavior toward reporters. “She is displaying more stoic dignity than the president,” one user says. Another chimed in, saying, “The ONLY right answer to this question should be: ‘I hope the Victims will get Justice and I’ll do everything in my power, so that this will be investigated until every person who was part of the crimes is dragged to a court.’ But his Answer is like an admission of guilt, and that alone should be alarming to everyone.”
Others questioned the motive behind the president’s attack. “Interesting and revealing that the mere mention of Justice for survivors of this horror would provoke Trump into a rage,” one Redditor comments. One Reddit user even fired back, saying, “Spoken like someone who’s listed in the Epstein files 38,000 times.”
