ComingSoon is debuting exclusive character videos for Twisted-Wonderland the Animation, an anime series based on the extremely popular mobile game franchise. Twisted-Wonderland the Animation is available to stream now on Disney+ and Hulu.
“In the enchanted world of Twisted-Wonderland, seven legendary figures known as the Great Seven have been immortalized. Based on seven iconic Disney Villains: the Queen of Hearts, the King of Beasts (Scar), the Sea Witch (Ursula), the Sorcerer of the Sands (Jafar), the Fairest Queen (Evil Queen), the King of the Underworld (Hades), and the ThornFairy (Maleficent), the acts of these individuals would eventually inspire the creation of seven magical dormitories at Night Raven College – an elite academy for budding mages.
“Unaware of any of this, Yuken Enma, an ordinary high school student from Tokyo, suddenly finds himself transported to Night Raven College and immediately begins alienating its residents. Unable to wield magic, unsure of the customs, and stunned by the new reality he finds himself in, Yuken is forced to navigate this strange new world, searching for a way back home. What is Twisted-Wonderland about?
Twisted-Wonderland the Animation is based on Disney Twisted-Wonderland, a Japanese mobile game by Aniplex and Disney. The game was first launched in Japan in 2020, with an English localization released in 2022. The game is described as a “villains academy” adventure game, and follows the story of Yuu, someone who is summoned to another world via a magic mirror and arrives at Night Raven College, a magical school.
Outside of the game, Twisted-Wonderland has also had several manga adaptations released based on the property, with an ongoing manga still in production. The anime series originally premiered in Japan in October, with five episodes released. A second season, titled Episode of Savanaclaw, is also currently in production.
