Tyra Banks has shared the reasons behind her move to Australia. In an appearance on Today with Jenna & Friends, the model shared that her ice cream company, SMiZE and Dream, played a big role in her decision. She also provided insights into her everyday life.

What did Tyra Banks say about moving to Australia?

Tyra Banks recently revealed why she and her family made the move to Sydney, Australia, during her guest appearance on Today with Jenna & Friends on April 14. The supermodel shared that her ice cream company, SMiZE and Dream, played a major role in her decision. She explained, “I’ve been going to Australia a lot because we were making a lot of our ice cream there in this big facility, doing our recipes.” 

After numerous trips to the country, Banks fell in love with Australia. She said, “Every time I went back, and went back… And the three countries that eat the most ice cream: America, New Zealand and Australia. So I was like, ‘I’m happy here, and they love to eat some ice cream, so, are we going to do this family?’ And we did.” Banks is also working on opening a flagship SMiZE and Dream store in Sydney as part of her plans.

Aside from business, Banks also gave a glimpse into her daily life in her new home. She shared her morning routine. It includes making coffee in her kitchen and visiting some of her favorite spots, like Tumbalong Park, with her son York.

Banks also took viewers to Darling Harbour. There, she spoke about her ice cream business’ future and how the project is a tribute to her late mother. The Sydney Opera House was also highlighted as a key landmark in her new life. She concluded, “Australia has been a dream come true for me and my family.”
