Riot Games has finally addressed a bug with Neon’s Fast Lane, and they’ve disabled her from games on PC, promising some big changes in Valorant’s 12.09 patch.
Neon has long been one of the most-used agents in all of Valorant because of her speed and power when it comes to disrupting enemy setups. As a result, there have been plenty of calls from fans that have urged Riot Games to make a change.
Those calls have been going on for a while, especially because of Neon’s Fast Lane ability. For some time now, the C ability has created issues for enemy players as it can be used to give Neon somewhat of a wall hack.
When cast, in some situations, the ability allows the Neon player to see through the wall, allowing them to get a leg-up on their opponent.

As a result, on May 7, Riot has moved to remove the powerful Agent from play, and will be bringing in some changes.
“We recently discovered a graphics exploit with Neon’s Fast Lane ability that affects competitive integrity. So we’re disabling her on PC from now until patch 12.09 to fix the bug,” they posted on X.
Additionally, Riot noted that Neon is “over-tuned” in some parts and that’ll be addressed in the 12.09 patch, which is when she’ll go back to being playable. They said they’ve been working on those changes “for a while” now, too.

It remains to be seen as to what exactly Riot will change about Neon, but she has been targeted in recent updates. That includes back in the 12.08 patch, as they targeted a bug with High Gear.
Neon was also adjusted in the 11.08 update, alongside every other Agent, with specific changes to make her run longer, but with a slower fuel regain.
This isn’t the first time that Riot has disabled Agents due to powerful abilities. One of the most notable examples came late June, when Omen was temporarily taken offline due to an exploit with his Dark Cover, allowing him to spawn in the opposite spawn.
