VV: Ultimatum features several hidden quests that unlock useful rewards, and one of the most important is the Statue Mystery Quest. Completing this quest requires players to collect special Extracts from different sources throughout the game world and place them into a mysterious shrine.
While the process may seem confusing at first, it becomes much easier once you know where each Extract comes from. In this guide, we’ll explain how to complete the Statue Mystery Quest and unlock its reward.
How the Statue Mystery Quest Works
The objective of the quest is to gather three special Extracts and place them into the shrine slots found near the central area of the statue location. Once you obtain an Extract, equip it in your hand and approach the correct shrine slot. An interaction prompt will appear, allowing you to insert the item. The order does not matter, so you can collect and place the Extracts in whichever sequence is most convenient.
All Required Extracts
To complete the quest, you’ll need the following three items:
- Intelligent Extract
- Strength Extract
- Masked Hollow Extract
After all three have been placed into the shrine, the quest will progress and activate the portal associated with the statue.
How to Get the Intelligent Extract
The Intelligent Extract is the easiest one to obtain. Players receive this item after completing the game’s tutorial. If you decide to skip the tutorial, you should still receive the Extract as part of the early progression rewards. Once acquired, bring it to the statue shrine and place it into one of the available slots.
How to Get the Strength Extract
The Strength Extract is obtained from the Crocodile King boss. This boss can be found in the Marsh area and is tied to content around Level 35. Before fighting the boss, make sure your character is strong enough to handle the encounter. After defeating the Crocodile King and obtaining the Strength Extract, return to the shrine and place it into one of the remaining slots.
How to Get the Masked Hollow Extract
The final Extract comes from the Masked Hollow enemy. Unlike the Crocodile King, this enemy does not stay in one fixed location. The Masked Hollow can appear randomly in the Outskirts region, making it slightly more difficult to find. Keep exploring the area and pay attention to reports or player sightings. Once you defeat the Masked Hollow, you’ll receive the final Extract needed for the quest.
How to Place the Extracts
After obtaining each item:
- Equip the Extract.
- Travel to the shrine area near the mystery statue.
- Walk up to the correct shrine slot.
- Wait for the interaction prompt to appear.
- Insert the Extract.
Repeat the process until all three Extracts have been placed.
Remember that the placement order does not affect the quest, so you can use any Extract first.
Statue Mystery Quest Reward
Once all three Extracts have been inserted, the shrine portal will activate and the quest will be completed. The biggest reward is access to the Skill Refund feature.
This system allows players to refund specific skill points from their skill tree without having to completely reset their entire build. This is extremely useful for experimenting with different builds, correcting mistakes, or adjusting your character for new content.
The Statue Mystery Quest is one of the most worthwhile side activities in VV: Ultimatum thanks to its powerful Skill Refund reward.
