Saber Interactive has significantly messed with weapon balance in the Space Marine 2 7.0 Trygon update. By the way, the developers took on matchmaking and introduced prestige ranks in PvE.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 received another patch with new features in the 7.0 Trygon update.
Saber Interactive studio once again didn’t spare players changes in the major update of the second Space Marine. A big list shared on Steam and the official Focus Entertainment forum includes new content, such as a pistol, armor colors, and another operation (Exfiltration), in which the Space Marines must reach the Adeptus Mechanicus outpost and face the formidable Tyranid Trygon.
What is more significant for most players than this and future DLCs is the addition of private lobbies for PvP mode, prestige ranks in PvE gameplay, and fixes (and experiments) in matchmaking. These latest ones include experimental SBMM (Skill Based Matchmaking) in Eternal War mode and class-based matchmaking in Operations mode. Fans were also delighted with the option to personalize the color of the Bulwark Cloth armor.
Besides, the developers rebuilt the class and weapon perk system in PvE mode. In practice, all the weapons were supposed to be buffed, and these changes are a big part of the official patch notes for version 7.0. There are also more general changes in balance and the game itself.
