Battlefield 6 Season 3 is coming soon, but what is the exact release date? Battlefield 6 Season 3 is the long-awaited update that looks to address many of the issues players have expressed since launch, and the release date is right around the corner. Not only will Season 3 bring new maps, but also bring a host of quality of life and gameplay improvements. Here’s when you can expect BF6 season 3 to release. Per an official announcement from Battlefield Studios, Battlefield 6 Season 3 will release on May 12, 2026. With Season 3’s launch comes the Railway to Golmud map, an updated version of one of the larger maps from Battlefield 4. It’s a welcome addition to the pool of otherwise smaller maps we’ve played in BF6 so far. The Battlefield dev team is also looking to implement a large number of quality-of-life and performance improvements. These include improved soldier visibility and more consistent hit registration to recoil adjustments at range and better recognition of incoming damage. Mortars are getting a nerf as regards their ability to be spammed at range, vehicle combat is getting adjusted to improve “how vehicle combat feels moment-to-moment,” and the ping system will hopefully feel more responsive going forward. Alongside several other updates, including a small but welcome adjustment to the playlist UI structure and many REDSEC improvements, there’s new content coming during Season 3, as well. The biggest news is the return of a classic, close-quarters map from Battlefield 3: Cairo Bazaar, a remake of the Grand Bazaar map from all those years ago. There will undoubtedly be even more to uncover as Season 3 unfolds in May, including new weapons, modes, Battle Royale solos, and more.
