Looting time. There is a near-endless number of resources to find in Marathon, and knowing where the real value lies is a trick in and of itself. In this guide, I’ll show you where to go to find the all-important Unstable Diode, which will prove to be extremely useful as you get deep into Bugnie’s new extraction shooter. To find Unstable Diode, one of the best places to check is at the North Relay or South Relay on Perimeter. Both points of interest are of a large size, with a considerable volume of loot spawns. As such, you have a good chance of finding double-digit Unstable Diodes on the map. Unstable Diodes are actually pretty easy to spot, as they have a bright purple component that makes them stand out, even in darker areas. They can spawn as ground loot, or in containers, so make sure you check every lootable container that you pass to see what is inside. You can use Unstable Diodes to barter for items in the Armory, so they are a great way to get more resources and save your Credits for other things. As such, dedicated runs for this kind of Unstable Diode are not a bad idea, especially when playing with friends who help back you up and ensure an exfiltration.
