Step 1: Progress the Main Missions
You won’t even see gold ingots until you’re deep into the game’s main progression. Here’s what to focus on:

If you run out of missions, sit down in the office chair for a while. This triggers new story beats

Eventually you’ll unlock a new back room: the Vault Room, also called the Safe Room

The gold ingots are stored in there and become part of your future missions
If you’re not seeing anything new and think you’re stuck, it usually means one of two things:

You haven’t hit the required player level (around level 25)

You haven’t triggered the chair wait event that unlocks the Safe Room
Step 2: Fill the Piggy Bank
It seems that, at least for some players, the Vault only opened after filling and emptying the piggy bank.

Once the Vault Room is unlocked, head inside and look around. Gold ingots spawn here and become part of several missions. You can’t clean or process them like cash, but they will show up as quest items, evidence, or targets to move.
You just get access to them once the room unlocks.
