The Beckham family is now in a very public and bitter dispute. At the center of a deepening feud is Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of football legend David Beckham and fashion icon Victoria Beckham. The Daily Mail recently reported that the 26-year-old chef sent his parents a legal letter last summer.

According to this letter, his parents and immediate family are only to contact him or his wife via lawyers. He maintained that he does not want his parents to contact him directly in any way, nor does he want them to make any public statements regarding him on social media or otherwise.

Moreover, the letter also contained instructions not to tag him. But there was a breach of the legal letter recently when Victoria liked a roast chicken video he had shared. This reportedly led Brooklyn to block his parents as well as his brothers on Instagram, as Cruz revealed on Instagram (via Page Six).

The roots of the Beckham family feud appear to trace back to longstanding tensions following Brooklyn’s marriage to actress Nicola Peltz in April 2022 (via Metro.co.uk).

According to reports, conflict began over divergent expectations around the wedding, particularly Victoria Beckham’s failure to design Nicola’s wedding dress despite initially promising to do so, an incident insiders say caused significant hurt early in the couple’s marriage. However, Nicola clarified to Variety that she couldn’t wear the dress because Victoria’s atelier couldn’t do it.

Despite rumors of an alleged feud between Victoria and Nicola, the family was well and cozy up until December 2024 (via LadBible). But then, in March 2025, Brooklyn and Nicola both did not attend David’s huge pre-birthday bash at Cipriani Downtown Miami. There were claims that Romeo’s girlfriend, Kim, was first dating Brooklyn, and this caused a rift between the two brothers.

However, Cruz reportedly quashed these rumors later that week. The couple not attending the birthday bash apparently caused rifts between the family. A source told PEOPLE that it was reportedly because Kim was invited, and Brooklyn did not want her to be there. Kim reportedly took to her Instagram to deny there was anything between her and Brooklyn (via LadBible).

Moreover, Brooklyn also missed the boys’ fishing trip and remained silent on Father’s Day. Although he did later post a message for his father-in-law on his birthday (via Metro.co.uk).

In May, Brooklyn reportedly took a dig at his parents and family by posting an Instagram video with Nicole, with the caption to always choose her. He also reportedly covered a tattoo he had dedicated to his mum, which included a typewriter-style font over his heart with the words Mama’s boy

Then, in July 2025, both Brooklyn and Nicola unfollowed Romeo and Cruz. In August, Victoria and David did not attend or were not invited to the couple’s vow renewals. By December that year, the rift had widened, and both blocked the family on social media. Cruz later debunked rumors that his mum and dad did not unfollow their son but were reportedly blocked (via Page Six).

While he is not in contact with his immediate family, Brooklyn remains in contact with his extended family as well as both sets of grandparents (via The Sun). Furthermore, a source close to the family told PEOPLE that David and Victoria have repeatedly tried to make amends and extend an olive branch, but to no avail.

Nicola Peltz Erases All Traces of Beckhams From Her Instagram

After blocking the whole Beckham family, just like her husband, Nicola Peltz has reportedly also deleted every photo and post with the Beckhams from her Instagram.

She deleted a photo of her with the former Spice Girl posted on Victoria’s 50th birthday back in 2024. While Victoria has not done the same, Nicola’s post with Brooklyn’s grandmother, Sandra Beckham, remains on her page.

The move came on the heels of the legal letter and social media blocks, which reportedly stemmed from Brooklyn’s desire to enforce boundaries after feeling that his parents had repeatedly violated his wishes.
