Will MindsEye feature a multiplayer mode?

MindsEye, the debut title from Build a Rocket Boy, is dropping on June 10, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games. The game blends a cinematic single-player campaign with an open-world sandbox mode and custom missions — all tied into a futuristic setting where AI and tech run the show.

Yes, MindsEye will feature a multiplayer mode, but that will not be available at launch. Multiplayer is expected to arrive in late 2025, with early info suggesting it’ll be a strictly co-op experience, meaning you and a friend can tackle game modes together. Let’s look more into it.

What we know about MindsEye’s multiplayer mode so far

Will MindsEye feature a multiplayer mode?

According to the official roadmap, the game’s multiplayer mode will launch in Fall 2025. Specifics aren’t fully confirmed yet, but it looks like co-op is the focus. That means no large-scale PvP or open server stuff for now — just curated co-op modes that you and a friend can experience together.

What is it offering at launch?

At launch, it will be a single-player, story-driven experience, putting you in the shoes of Jacob Diaz, a skilled and dangerous operative navigating a tech-dominated city called Red Rock.

There’s a whole conspiracy going on behind the flashy lights — rogue military goons, AI systems gone wild, and a looming threat to all humanity. It’s a futuristic playground with silver humanoid robots everywhere and a hacking system that lets you hijack pretty much anything with a circuit.

You’re not locked into just the story either. Outside the main campaign, there’s also a free-roam open-world mode, letting you explore Red Rock without mission constraints. Players can hop between story and free roam through portals or the main menu. It’s not a half-baked add-on — there’s enough there to justify sticking around even after the credits roll.

What about content creation?

The game supports content creation through Build.MindsEye and Play.MindsEye, part of a larger toolset called Arcadia. These allow players to create custom missions, levels, and races. The system is simple to use and works with a drag-and-drop setup. You can also play content made by other players.

Originally, these tools were developed for a separate project called Everywhere, but they are now fully integrated into the game.
