Wuthering Waves has a roster full of top-notch supports and sub-DPS, and Denia is the new character that will be joining them. She is an excellent all-around character who fits in almost any team. Her buffing capability and support-based kit make her a must-have in the new Wuwa meta. However, to make the most out of her, you need to assemble the best Wuthering Waves Denia build, as we’ve discussed in this guide.

Wuthering Waves Denia Overview

Wuthering Waves Denia Build

Denia is a Sub-DPS character who can also act as great support. You can get her by wishing on the limited-time Wuthering Waves banners.

  • Rarity: 5-star
  • Element: Fusion
  • Weapon: Rectifier
  • Team Role: Resonance Liberation Sub-DPS
  • ATK: 425
  • DEF: 1148
  • HP: 11025

Players who already own Aemeath and Luuk Herssen should seriously consider pulling for Denia, because she’s easily one of their best teammates. Not only can she massively boost Fusion Damage, but her Tune Strain effects are also insanely strong, making her one of the best support characters in the game right now.

Wuthering Waves Denia Build

Here’s the best Wuthering Waves Denia build, which will help you to maximise her damage and support output:

Type Information
Weapon Forged Dwarf Star
Main Echo Trickster
Sonata Set Chromatic Foam Set
Main Stats Cost 4: Crit Rate or Crit DMG
Cost 3: Fusion DMG Bonus or ATK%
Cost 3: Fusion DMG Bonus or ATK%
Cost 1: ATK%
Cost 1: ATK%
Sub Stats Energy Regen (125%+) > Crit DMG > Crit Rate > ATK% > Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus

Since Denia mainly functions as a Fusion Sub-DPS, the best weapons for her are those that provide high ATK, Crit Rate/Crit DMG, and Resonance Liberation DMG bonuses. Her kit also benefits greatly from echo and weapons that enhance Fusion Burst or Tune Strain effects, as these mechanics are central to her gameplay. So, make sure to focus on these stats as you assemble the best Denia build in Wuthering Waves. Don’t forget to check her standing on our Wuthering Waves tier list.

Denia Weapons

Here are the best weapons for Denia in Wuthering Waves, and the best alternatives:

  • Forged Dwarf Star (Signature, 5-star)
  • Stringmaster (5-star)
  • Lethean Elegy (5-star)
  • Cosmic Ripples (5-star)
  • Augment (4-star)
  • Waltz in Masquerade (4-star)

Forged Dwarf Star is undoubtedly Denia’s best-in-slot weapon thanks to its Crit Rate stat. The weapon works according to her passive and boosts her Resonance Liberation DMG and ATK by 36% whenever she inflicts Fusion Burst or Tune Strain.

Among the 5-star alternatives, Stringmaster is one of the strongest options because of its Crit Rate and consistent ATK buffs. Lethean Elegy is another great pick, offering high Base ATK, Crit Rate, and DEF ignore effects that improve her overall damage output.

If you lack 5-star weapons, try Augment and Waltz in Masquerade as 4-star weapons. Both can give a decent ATK buff to Denia, but the damage and support drop is evident when compared to 5-stars.

Denia Main Echo

  • Trickster
  • Lioness of Glory
  • Voidwing Moth
  • Impermanence Heron

The Trickster is the best main echo for Denia in Wuthering Waves. It has a lower transformation time that doesn’t interfere with the rotation of the team, while providing 12% Fusion DMG Bonus. Lioness of Glory is the second-best option, as it gives a staggering amount of 12% Fusion DMG Bonus and Resonance Liberation DMG Bonus. Voidwing Moth and Impermanence Heron are decent echos that you can use, only if you have great stats on them.

Denia Sonata Set

  • Chromatic Foam Set (5-pc)
  • Reels of Spliced Memories Set (5-pc)
  • Flaming Clawprint Set (5-pc)
  • Moonlit Clouds Set (5-pc)

Luckily, Denia has plenty of great Sonata sets, depending on her role in teams. The 5-pc Chromatic Foam set provides 20% Fusion DMG bonus to Denia and 25% of the same to the incoming character. If you play using Denia on Fusion Burst teams, then use this set on her. However, Reels of Spliced Memories is the best set for Tune Strain teams. Players who lack both sets can opt for the Flaming Clawprint and Moonlit Clouds set as alternatives.

Denia Teams

The teams for Denia’s build in Wuthering Waves mainly depend on which Resonance mode you want to focus on. In Fusion Burst mode, Denia works best with Wuthering Waves characters who can consistently trigger or benefit from Fusion Burst effects, allowing her to provide strong Fusion DMG buffs and additional team-wide damage amplification.

In Tune Strain Mode, she pairs better with Resonators that can rapidly build Off-Tune Level and take advantage of her Tune Break Boost and Outro Skill buffs. Here are some of the best teams for Denia:

Team DPS Sub DPS Support
Denia Fusion Burst Team Aemeath Denia Lupa / Chisa
Denia Tune Strain Team Luuk Herssen Denia Mornye
Denia Main DPS Team Denia Lynae Mornye
Denia Mono Fusion Team Galbrena Denia Lupa
Denia F2P Team Encore Denia Verina

Aemeath is one of Denia’s best teammates in Fusion Burst teams, as he can fully capitalize on Denia’s Fusion DMG buffs and Fusion Burst amplification. Lupa and Chisa both work exceptionally well as supports, providing additional Fusion-related buffs and sustain for the team.

For Tune Strain teams, Luuk Herssen synergizes perfectly with Denia since he benefits heavily from faster Off-Tune buildup and Tune Break Boost effects. Mornye further improves the setup with additional buffs and utility.

If you want to use Denia as a Main DPS, pairing her with Lynae provides strong off-field buffs and extra damage amplification, while Mornye helps maintain team consistency and survivability. Meanwhile, players looking for a more accessible option can run the F2P setup with Encore and Verina, where Denia acts as a powerful Sub-DPS and Fusion support while Verina keeps the team buffed and healed.

Wuthering Waves Denia Kit

Denia Build in Wuthering Waves

Like Hiyuki in Wuthering Waves, Denia’s kit relies on her two modes: Fusion Burst and Tune Strain. Here’s all the information that you need to know about Denia’s kit.

Denia Kit Explained

  • Scaling: Denia scales off ATK.
  • Role: Fusion DPS
  • Dark Core: Denia can hold up to 3 Dark Cores. They are mainly used to power up Banish Breakdown Form, where consuming each Dark Core increases the attack’s damage multiplier by 150%. She gains Dark Cores over time while in Entropy Shift states and through Intro Skills.
  • Void Particle: Denia can store up to 100 Void Particles. They are generated through attacks and skills in Stagecraft Form. In Breakdown Form, Void Particles are consumed to strengthen attacks, increase damage, and greatly speed up Conformal Charge regeneration.
  • Fusion Burst Mode: She continuously applies Fusion Burst stacks, amplifies Fusion damage, and shreds Fusion resistance. She can also provide an overall Fusion damage bonus off-field, buffing your main DPS.
  • Tune Shift Mode: In this state, she inflicts Tune Strain and provides All DMG Amplification and Tune Break DMG bonus while increasing ATK. This allows her to integrate into multiple team archetypes beyond just Fusion teams.
  • Fusion Effects: Her kit constantly applies Fusion Burst and Tune Strain effects through attacks, Resonance Liberation, and Erosion Field. She excels at maintaining pressure on enemies while enabling additional damage sources for the team.
  • Off-field Buffs: Provides Fusion DMG Bonus, shreds Fusion resistance, increases All DMG, and boosts Tune Break DMG. She also supports teammates through Fusion Burst and Tune Strain effects even when swapped out.

Denia Skills and Forte

Skills Details
Normal Attack – Dreamweaver’s Banquet Denia has two combat forms: Stagecraft Form and Breakdown Form, each with unique attack patterns. In both forms, she can perform up to 4 consecutive Fusion DMG attacks. Her Heavy Attacks consume STA, with Stagecraft Form focusing on direct strikes while Breakdown Form pulls nearby enemies together. Her Mid-air Attacks also differ, as Stagecraft Form performs plunging attacks while Breakdown Form unleashes multiple aerial hits. Both forms also feature Dodge Counters that continue combo chains after a successful dodge.
Resonance Skill – Bubbles and Baits In Stagecraft Form, Denia casts Phantom Bubble, which pulls enemies together and deals Fusion DMG. In Breakdown Form, this skill changes into Beckon and Banish. Beckon groups enemies together, while Banish becomes available when Denia holds a Dark Core. Banish has two stages: the first pulls enemies in, while the second consumes all Dark Cores to unleash a stronger attack. Each Dark Core consumed increases the attack’s DMG Multiplier by 150%, and the damage is treated as Resonance Liberation DMG.
Forte Circuit – “Flawless” Denia’s Forte Circuit is built around managing Erosion Field, Void Particle, Dark Core, Conformal Charge, Fusion Burst, and Tune Strain. After using Final Act – Breakdown Form, she creates an Erosion Field for 30 seconds that periodically pulls enemies in and deals Fusion DMG counted as Resonance Liberation DMG. While in Breakdown Form, consuming Void Particle enhances her attacks, increases damage by 50%, and doubles Conformal Charge recovery speed. In Fusion Burst mode, many of Denia’s attacks apply Fusion Burst stacks to enemies, while also granting Degenerate Voidmatter, which boosts attack damage even further. In Tune Strain mode, her attacks apply Tune Strain – Shifting and help increase enemies’ Off-Tune Levels faster.
Dark Core Mechanic Denia can hold up to 3 Dark Cores at once. She naturally gains Dark Cores over time while in Entropy Shift states and also gains them through Intro Skills. Dark Cores are mainly used to power up Banish – Breakdown Form, significantly increasing its damage output.
Void Particle Mechanic Denia can store up to 100 Void Particles. In Stagecraft Form, Normal Attacks generate Void Particle, while Intro Skills and Phantom Bubble instantly grant additional amounts. Void Particle is consumed in Breakdown Form to strengthen attacks and accelerate Conformal Charge generation.
Conformal Charge Mechanic Denia can hold up to 100 Conformal Charge. This resource is generated in Breakdown Form through Normal Attacks and Beckon. Using Banish – Breakdown Form Stage 2 grants a large amount of Conformal Charge instantly. Full Conformal Charge is required to activate Final Act – Breakdown Form.
Inherent Skill – Vestiges of Falsehood When Denia enters combat in Stagecraft Form, she automatically restores Dark Cores and Void Particle if they are below a certain amount. This helps maintain her rotations and resource management. The effect can activate once every 12 seconds.
Inherent Skill – Etched Colors While in an Entropy Shift state, Denia grants different team buffs depending on her Resonance Mode. In Fusion Burst mode, all allies gain a 30% Fusion DMG Bonus. In Tune Strain mode, all allies gain Break Boost, making it easier to build Off-Tune effects on enemies.
Resonance Liberation – Final Act Denia’s Resonance Liberation changes based on her current form. In Stagecraft Form, she deals Fusion DMG, gains Entropy Shift: Breakdown Form for 12 seconds, and switches to Breakdown Form. In Breakdown Form, she consumes all Conformal Charge and Void Particle to unleash a stronger attack before switching back to Stagecraft Form. Entropy Shift effects either increase ATK or continuously generate Void Particle depending on the active state.
Intro Skill – Formal Greetings Denia’s Intro Skill changes based on her active form. It’s Been A While! is used in Stagecraft Form and deals Fusion DMG while continuing her combo chain. Knock Knock is used in Breakdown Form, deals Fusion DMG, and grants Entropy Shift: Breakdown Form for additional buffs.
Outro Skill – Unfinished Lies Denia provides different team buffs depending on her Resonance Mode. In Fusion Burst mode, nearby allies gain increased Fusion Burst DMG for 30 seconds. In Tune Strain mode, the incoming Resonator gains increased overall damage, and triggering Tune Strain – Shifting further boosts that damage amplification.
Tune Break – Shattered Hours When an enemy’s Off-Tune Level is filled, Denia can activate Tune Break. In Tune Strain mode, she can apply Tune Strain – Shifting and respond to Tune Strain – Interfered effects. Her overall damage increases depending on the number of Interfered stacks on the target, making her especially strong in extended fights.

When Denia is in Resonance Mode – Tune Strain, her Forte Circuit effect is enhanced: After a Resonator in the team inflicts Tune Strain – Shifting on the target, their Tune Break Boost is increased by 20 for 15s, and the target’s Off-Tune Level is increased by 100% of the max. This effect can only be triggered once per 300s on the same target. This effect ends when Denia switches forms. The DMG Multiplier of Resonance Skill Banish – Breakdown Form is increased by 40%.

The Entropy Shift: Breakdown Form effect is enhanced: Casting Resonance Liberation Final Act – Breakdown Form additionally restores 30 points of Concerto Energy. Denia’s Inherent Skill Vestiges of Falsehood is enhanced: Upon entering combat, Dark Core and Void Particle are restored to the max. This effect can be triggered once every 12s. When the number of Dark Cores reaches the limit, casting Basic Attack – Stagecraft Form Stage 4 or Resonance Skill Phantom Bubble – Stagecraft Form consumes all Dark Cores and increases the DMG Multiplier of this skill by 1200%. The DMG dealt is considered Resonance Liberation DMG.
S4 – From the Far Beyond, to the Far Beyond The attack interval of Erosion Field is reduced to 3s.
S5 – If Lies Patch Up a Heart The DMG of Resonance Liberation Final Act – Stagecraft Form is increased by 100%.

While Denia is in Resonance Mode – Fusion Burst, after Erosion Field deals damage, trigger Fusion Burst on the target based on its max limit. The Fusion Burst DMG triggered gains a 200% DMG Multiplier increase against the main target and does not remove the Fusion Burst stacks on the targets hit. The effect can be triggered on the same target up to 1 time. When the target is damaged by Resonance Liberation Final Act: Breakdown Form, the effect’s trigger count is reset. The trigger count can be reset for the same target once every 2s. While Denia is in Resonance Mode – Tune Strain, when Resonators in the team deal Tune Break DMG to Mistuned enemies in Tune Strain – Shifting, they additionally inflict Tune Strain – Interfered on the target. This effect can only be triggered on the same target once every 3s.
