The Yellowjackets Season 3 finale has finally solved the lingering mystery of the Pit Girl, a character hunted down and killed off in the series’ pilot episode, and revealed the person’s identity. The reveal brings to an end years-long fan speculation and theorization about the character’s identity. Accordingly, fans have become curious about who the Pit Girl is.

Who is the Pit Girl in Yellowjackets Season 3?
The Pit Girl in Yellowjackets Season 3 is Mari, played by Alexa Barajas.
Series co-creator Ashley Lyle confirmed in a recent interview with The Wrap that they had always planned for Mari to be the Pit Girl. Furthermore, she praised Barajas for her performance.
Meanwhile, the Antler Queen’s identity is revealed to be Shauna Sadecki. In the Season 3 finale, she and Lottie decide that the Yellowjackets need to sacrifice one of their own members. They decide this as they wish to stay on the Wilderness’ good side. The duo then pressures the girls into agreeing to a hunt, where their prey will be decided by a random card draw.
Tai and Van attempt to manipulate the draw to ensure that Hannah lands with the deadly queen of hearts. However, Shauna quickly notices their attempts and counters them by messing with the circle order. This results in Mari pulling the queen of hearts and becoming the prey.
Shauna then places Jackie’s heart necklace on Mari before commencing the hunt’s countdown. Moreover, the Yellowjackets wear their furs and makeshift masks and start hunting her down. After gaining a considerable distance from her predators, Mari removes her bright colored jacket, pants, and shoes to make it harder for her pursuers to spot her. Thus, she only ends up sporting the all-too-familiar night gown, seen on the Pit Girl at the time of her death in the series premiere.
Gen tries to increase Mari’s chances of survival by attempting to distract Taissa from the hunt. Unfortunately, this does not help anything as Mari ends up falling into the pit lined with sharpened stakes, fatally impaling her. It is also revealed that Travis had lined these stakes in an attempt to kill Lottie.
