If, like us, you’re a fan of Prime Video’s adaptation of The Boys, you’ve no doubt already watched the first three episodes of season 4 that are now available. Also like us, you might have have taken an instant dislike to one of the new supes it introduces, the right-wing Firecracker, who has her sights firmly set on Starlight. If her face looks familiar, there’s a good reason.
You see, Firecracker, played by Valorie Curry, was Kara in Quantic Dream’s now legendary PS3 tech demo. And from that, she went on to star in Quantic Dream’s Detroit: Become Human, with Kara being one of its three protagonists. It’s worth playing if you haven’t already done so.
Outside of videogames and The Boys, Valorie Curry has also starred in many other films and TV shows. You might recognise her from The Following, for example, a brilliant serial killer-themed TV series also starring Kevin Bacon, James Purefoy and Shawn Ashmore. She was in 2016 horror reboot Blair Witch, too.
So, if you’ve been watching The Boys season 4 and found Firecracker’s face familiar, now you know where you know her from.
