Canadian YouTuber Fique Ayub was arrested outside a movie theater after he and two others yelled “gun” in a crowded movie theater for content.

Prank videos are extremely popular, but the wrong type of clip can land creators in hot water when they cross the line.

That’s exactly what happened when the 23-year-old Fique uploaded a new video titled ‘ Screaming In Movie Theatres’ where he and others proceeded to yell at the top of their lungs.

In the video, filmed March 17, Fique, who has over 1M followers on YouTube, went into a Landmark Cinemas in Ajax, a suburb of Toronto and entered a packed cinema.

At one point, he saw two people kissing in a movie and shouted, “ahhh kissing! Haram!”

During another film, he started crying out and proceeded to upset moviegoers who demanded he shut up.

Following this, one of Fique’s fellow pranksters yelled “he has a gun” and moments later, Fique screamed, “he’s not kidding, he has a gun!”

As he and his crew left the theater, police showed up and confronted the creator, explaining that they received a call about someone having a gun.

Fique immediately started putting on an Indian accent and claimed he was filming a documentary. Eventually, after over 40 minutes of waiting, Fique was free to go, but was subsequently arrested after he uploaded the footage to YouTube, which recieved over 600,000 views.

“Customers were forced to leave a movie theatre after several males yelled that someone was in possession of a firearm,” the police said in a press release on April 7. “Officers arrived on scene and were directed toward three males who had left the theatre.”

Following an investigation, the authorities said the suspects “had intentionally created a false disturbance to generate a reaction they could film.”

Fique Wamiq Ayub, 23-year-old Jaiden Joseph-Anthony Mosquera, and a 17-year-old who can’t be named because he’s a minor, are facing charges of causing a disturbance and mischief.

This arrest comes as more police agencies are cracking down on prank content. Notably, controversial streamer Jack Doherty is facing up to 7 years behind bars after he started blocking traffic to film content.

TikToker Heston James is also looking at as many as 9 years behind bars for a months-long spree of disruptive stunts across Arizona.

Most infamously, streamer Johnny Somali is awaiting sentencing in South Korea for his controversial broadcasts that could land him 3 years in prison with hard labor.
