How to Unlock Weapons in Abyssus
This guide provides a detailed, step-by-step reference to all obtainable weapons in Abyssus, including their locations, conditions for unlocking, and tips for acquisition. Weapons are listed in the order they appear at the workbench.
Shotgun – The Bursting Weapon
Find the bursting weapon by defeating the elite in the abandoned temple.
- Reward: Shotgun
- Location: Act 1, Stage 2 (Depth 2)
- Unlock Method: Defeat the miniboss at the end of the stage to access the Shotgun.
Tesla Gun – The Electrical Weapon
Find the electrical weapon by defeating the elite in the gardens.
- Reward: Tesla Gun
- Location: Act 2, Stage 2 (Depth 6)
- Unlock Method: Defeat the miniboss at the stage’s conclusion to obtain the Tesla Gun.
Brine Revolver – The Scoped Weapon
Find the Scoped Weapon in the lobby.

- Location: Pregame Lobby
- Unlock Method: Found to the immediate left of the workbench, no combat required.
Disc Thrower – The Sharp Weapon
Find the Sharp Weapon by destroying the hidden crystals.

- Unlock Method: Located in a locked red-door room after defeating the stage boss.
Crystal Unlock Puzzle:
To open the door, destroy four crystals in the surrounding room. The order does not matter.
Crystal 1: To the left of the door, past a green grate.
Crystal 2: In one of the upper grates nearby.
Crystal 3: In the grate on the right side of the small pond.
Crystal 4: Inside the vertical grate near the exit tunnel.
Once all crystals are destroyed, the door opens to reveal the Disc Thrower.
Combat Bow – The Precise Weapon
Find the Precise Weapon by quickly defeating the elite in the sanctuary.
- Reward: Combat Bow
- Location: Act 3, Stage 2 (Depth 10)
- Unlock Method: Defeat the miniboss quickly to make the mural on the right side vanish, granting access to the bow.
Speed Requirement: Only the miniboss fight time is counted (not total run time). The time limit is estimated at under 2 minutes, or ideally under 90 seconds.
Plasma Launcher – The Blazing Weapon
Find the Blazing Weapon by quickly reaching the royal abyss.
- Reward: Plasma Launcher
- Location: Act 4, Stage 1 (start area)
- Unlock Method: Must have a total run time under approximately 40 minutes.
At the start of the stage, before dropping down:
Turn around from the starting position.
Cross the gap using jump → dash → jump.
If within the time limit, you can proceed to the room containing the Plasma Launcher.
Fish Deity – The Aquatic Weapon
Find the Aquatic Weapon by solving the mystery of the secret pond.
- Location: Pregame Lobby (hidden room)
- Unlock Method: Requires defeating all three possible miniboss variants in Act 4, Stage 1 (one variant appears randomly each run).
Steps to Access:
- From spawn, follow the seaside path behind you.
- Go behind the waterfall to find a hidden path.
- Enter the secluded room at the end.
- The far wall will glow—interact to open it.
- Wait for the statues to activate and fill the pond with water.
- The Fish Deity will appear, swimming in the fountain.
Tip: Weapon unlock conditions in Abyssus often rely on specific time limits, miniboss kills, or environmental puzzles. Planning your run in advance will save time and increase your chances of obtaining rare weapons.
