Waifu Tactical Force brings anime girls, guns, and deadly FPS duels to PC, and you can now dive into the over-the-top action before it launches in 2027.

Have you ever wanted to frag out enemies while bunny hopping as a cute anime girl armed to the teeth with deadly guns? I’m going to assume that’s a resounding yes, as you’ve clicked this article, but for those who are just learning about this revolutionary CoD competitor, you’re in for a wild ride.

Waifu Tactical Force (yes, that’s its real name), or WTF for short, is a 3v3 anime movement shooter that blends Titanfall-style wallrunning and slides, with a pinch of Apex Legends hero abilities, and a sprig of CoD gunplay. Oh, and it’s all mixed together with a cast of colorful waifus (the most important part).

It’s as crazy as it sounds, but believe it or not, it works! In fact, we were pleasantly surprised by WTF when we covered it at Gamescom 2025. And now you too can test out Waifu Tactical Force for yourself.

Playtests are now live for anime girl FPS

Yes, that’s right: the anime girl gun game is now accepting playtests over on Steam. Servers went up on June 4 at 6 AM ET/12 PM CEST, giving PC players the chance to pick their favorite anime girl and begin racking up the kills with shotguns, SMGs, rifles, and explosive rocket launchers.

When you’re not busy chasing down waifus to fill with bullets, you can spend your hard-earned kill points on character upgrades. It’s kind of like Valorant, where you can enhance your character’s abilities, like tuning up your stamina regeneration or getting health on a successful kill.

The anime girls themselves also have access to game-changing skills, which shake up engagements and can even turn the tide of a fight when used effectively. For example, one ability allows you to dash, giving you an aggressive option to close the gap and deliver some lethal shotgun blasts, or use it defensively to zip in and out of combat.

There’s even a Gibraltar-style dome shield from Apex Legends that can be thrown down too, just in case you want to turn a bad situation into a better one. Oh, and did we mention that the guns have cute Tamagotchi-style charms and cat emoji reticles? After all, you must look cute while gunning for those all-important headshots.

Waifu Tactical Force playtests are currently available on PC via Steam, and you have until June 4 to test it out for yourself. So, if your trigger finger is getting itchy waiting for MW4, or you just want to blast some anime girls, then give it a spin before its 2027 launch.
