A popular food influencer compared to Breaking Bad’s Walter White and Gus Fring has been sentenced to life in prison with hard labor over a major drug manufacturing and smuggling case.
Lebanese content creator Georges Hanna Dib, better known online as Dr Food, was convicted in absentia by the Mount Lebanon Criminal Court alongside several other defendants.
Dib has more than five million followers on TikTok, where he built his audience through food videos and products sold under the Dr Food brand. Despite the name, he is not a medical doctor.
The influencer’s case has since been dubbed “Lebanon’s Breaking Bad” following allegations that his food business was used to conceal and transport drugs.
In the hit show, the character Gus Fring would smuggle drugs using his trucks for his chicken restaurant, Los Pollos Hermanos.

Influencer sentenced to prison in real-life Breaking Bad case
According to Gulf News, prosecutors accused Dib, his company Dr Food Worldwide, and 10 other suspects of manufacturing cannabis-based narcotics and hiding them inside biscuit products before shipping them abroad through Turkey.
The case was linked to the seizure of 820kg, roughly 1,800 pounds, of hashish in 2024. The drugs were reportedly concealed inside cake packaging produced at a facility in Baalbek.
Dib was convicted under Lebanon’s narcotics law and fined 120 million Lebanese pounds, approximately $1,341. Defendants sentenced in absentia were also stripped of their civil rights.
Dr Food denies allegations after life sentence
Dib is believed to be outside Lebanon and remains wanted by authorities, meaning he is not currently serving the life sentence.
Following reports of the ruling, the influencer posted several videos denying the allegations and claiming the information circulating about him did not reflect the full case.

According to Lovin Beirut, Dib said he had been wronged for four years and maintained that he was innocent.
He also claimed a full legal team was handling the case and urged followers to wait until the judicial process had concluded.
Dib further said Lebanon’s Ministry of Economy had recently conducted an unannounced inspection of his factory and taken product samples, which he claimed passed testing.
This isn’t the first time a TikToker has got in trouble for allegedly being involved in drugs. Back in 2023, an infamous TikToker dubbed a “Narco Queen” was killed after two assassins opened fire in broad daylight as she made her way to a nail salon.
