Budweiser is celebrating the Fourth of July by giving eligible Americans a free beer as part of the country’s 250th birthday celebrations.

Starting June 29, adults aged 21 and older can claim a $6 digital gift card from Budweiser to put toward a draught beer, with the offer available while supplies last.

The promotion, called America’s Tab, is running nationwide ahead of the Independence Day holiday. Those who qualify can visit Budweiser’s website, submit their information, and, if verified, receive the digital reward to redeem on a Budweiser draught beer.

“For years, Budweiser has shown up for the moments that bring Americans together. This summer, as America celebrates its 250th birthday, we wanted to do more than mark an anniversary; we wanted to honor the people who make those moments possible,” said Todd Allen, SVP of Marketing for Budweiser at Anheuser-Busch.

“Covering America’s tab is our way of turning gratitude into action: to thank the hardworking people who’ve made Budweiser part of everyday life, and to give them a chance to share a beer, reconnect and celebrate the resilience and spirit that have defined this country for generations.”

Alongside the giveaway, Budweiser is continuing its “American Beers for American Heroes” campaign supporting Folds of Honor. The company said a portion of the proceeds from Budweiser sold in bars and restaurants, up to $1.5 million, will fund educational scholarships for the families of fallen or disabled military service members and first responders.

Budweiser also released limited-edition patriotic packaging for the summer and plans to appear at several Fourth of July events, including the Chicago Cubs versus St. Louis Cardinals game at Wrigley Field, the Los Angeles 250 Block Party, and the New York Times Square Ball Drop.

The free beer promotion comes as brands continue rolling out special offers and limited-edition packaging for the Fourth of July holiday. Mountain Dew has even changed its name for the summer, swapping the logo on its cans to ‘American Dew.’
