CaseOh sided with the more than 300,000 Love and Deepspace fans who signed a petition to save Valko, the werewolf boyfriend their own developer killed off after barely a week.
Valko’s sin was never that he was unlovable, but Chinese players had spent months waiting for new story content for five existing love interests, and a shiny sixth man, a muzzled werewolf with pointed ears and the general energy of a Twilight extra, registered less as an expansion than a provocation.
Reports surfaced of cow dung left inside Papergames’ office lockers, and on June 30, the studio folded, scrapped Valko entirely, and swore it would never add another love interest.
But the fans who actually wanted to date the wolf were not consulted, and now even Twitch star CaseOh has backed them up.

Within 48 hours of the cancellation, petitions to reinstate Valko as a love interest crossed 300,000 signatures across iPetitions and Change.org, and the mourning quickly left the internet.
Fans at Anime Expo 2026 assembled a shrine for the fictional werewolf outside the venue, cosplayed as a character who does not technically exist in the game, and slid a funeral photo of Valko into the empty sixth booth at Love and Deepspace’s official meet-and-greet area.
Then, CaseOh stumbled into the whole affair through his Twitch chat. “They didn’t bring out the character cuz they said he ugly, that’s messed up,” he told viewers. “They wrong for that. Hopefully they bring them, they release them anyway.”

Whether the studio will reverse course after this petition is anyone’s guess, particularly since it already committed to new Rafayel content in July and story updates for Caleb and Sylus later this year.
The whole mess started when fans mailed cow dung to Love and Deepspace’s developer after the original Valko reveal, and anyone chasing a different digital romance entirely should know that a hyper-realistic dating sim called Silent Whispers is already stealing the spotlight.
