Dalton Eatherly, the livestreamer known online as ChudTheBuilder, has had his bond revoked in three Nashville cases after being charged in a separate shooting outside the Montgomery County Courthouse.
Eatherly, 28, appeared in Davidson County court on June 17 before Judge Melissa Blackburn, who revoked his bond in cases tied to an alleged restaurant incident in Nashville.
During the hearing, an investigator also described surveillance footage from the Clarksville courthouse shooting. According to the testimony, the video showed shots being fired before Eatherly and Joshua Fox hit the ground, with a casing ejecting from the firearm and a ricochet striking a concrete planter.
The investigator said the footage indicated Fox had not yet been hit at that point, based on the visible ricochet and shell casing.

Judge Melissa Blackburn denied Eatherly’s release in the Davidson County cases, citing violent posts he had made on social media, according to courtroom reporting. “Based on what I’ve seen on social media and Mr. Eatherly’s behavior,” Blackburn said.
The ruling means Eatherly can no longer use the previous bond in the Nashville cases to secure his release. He is also still being held in Montgomery County, where his bond remains set at $1 million in the courthouse shooting case.
Why ChudTheBuilder’s bond was revoked
Eatherly was out on bond in Davidson County when he was arrested in Clarksville days later. A condition of that release was that he not be charged with any new crimes.
The Nashville cases stem from a May 9 incident at Bob’s Steak and Chop inside the Omni Hotel. Police said Eatherly ordered food and drinks totaling $371.55 before allegedly refusing to pay after restaurant staff asked him to stop livestreaming.
According to an arrest affidavit cited by The Tennessean, Eatherly allegedly became disruptive and made racial comments after staff confronted him. He is accused of telling staff, “I’m not paying if you are kicking me out,” before leaving.

Police later found him walking near Broadway and 2nd Avenue South. He was charged with theft of services, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

Days later, on May 13, Eatherly was arrested in connection with a shooting outside the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville. Authorities said the incident began as a confrontation between Eatherly and another man, Joshua Fox, before both men suffered gunshot wounds.
Eatherly is charged in Montgomery County with attempted murder, employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon. His $1 million bond in that case was previously upheld by Circuit Court Judge William Goodman III, who also added a 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew if Eatherly is released.
The Davidson County bond revocation does not replace the separate Montgomery County bond. Instead, it adds another barrier to Eatherly’s potential release as he faces cases in both counties.
