McDonald’s has unveiled a pretty unusual world first, as they now have a Chocolate-flavored McGriddle available in one country.
For the most part, McDonald’s breakfast menu has stayed true to it’s iconic offerings. Those oh-so-tasty McMuffins are available in pretty much every country in the world, as are the pancakes, while the McGriddle has started venturing out from being only available in North America.
The McGriddle was finally released in the United Kingdom after a two-decade-long wait, giving UK-based fans the chance to taste it for the first time. It has also made its way to Hong Kong, where it has proven to be a hit.
While there have been some customization options for the McGriddle, Hong Kong has now taken things up a notch.

That’s right, they revealed a world-first – a Chocolate-flavored McGriddle, which is only available for three days.
As per Snackolator, the sausage and egg chocolate McGriddles are available as a sandwich by itself, but there is also the Choco McGriddles Deluxe Breakfast that comes with eggs and a hash brown.
On top of that, the unusual McGriddles are only available from July 1 to July 3. After that, starting on July 4, things will go back to normal and customers can expect the usual McGriddles to be back on the menu.

Some social media users are unsure about the unique flavor, with one calling it “iffy,” and others being keen to try it.
“The sandwich doesn’t look good to me, but I definitely wanna taste the chocolate bread,” one said. “On their own sure. With cheese? Not so sure,” another added. “Might be the first time I’m glad something isn’t in the US,” another joked.
McDonald’s has made a few menu changes in recent weeks. In Japan, customers can no longer ask for some popular customization options across different items. Oh, and the Fried Apple Pie? That’s back too.
