Jon Prosser has formally responded to Apple’s lawsuit over alleged leaks of iOS 26, denying claims that he conspired to obtain the company’s trade secrets while asking the court to dismiss the case.
The YouTuber filed his answer and affirmative defenses in federal court, marking his first official response since Apple sued him and Michael Ramacciotti over videos that revealed unreleased iOS features before the operating system’s announcement.
Apple alleged in its complaint that Ramacciotti gained access to an Apple development iPhone belonging to employee Ethan Lipnik and showed its contents to Prosser during a FaceTime call, allowing Prosser to publish videos detailing unreleased iOS 26 features.
Prosser disputes Apple’s allegations in court filing
In his response, Prosser denied that he participated in any conspiracy to steal Apple’s trade secrets or coordinated with Ramacciotti to obtain confidential information before the alleged leak.
He also denied ever accessing Lipnik’s development iPhone or taking part in any scheme to misappropriate Apple’s trade secrets.
However, Prosser acknowledged participating in a FaceTime call during which Ramacciotti showed him unreleased iOS features on what the filing describes as a development iPhone. Prosser argues he did not know how Ramacciotti obtained access to the device or the information shown during the call.
The filing also disputes Apple’s allegations regarding payments made to Ramacciotti. Prosser contends that any money he paid was provided after the alleged disclosure and was not part of a prearranged agreement to obtain confidential information.

Throughout the filing, Prosser states that he lacks sufficient knowledge to admit or deny several of Apple’s factual allegations.
Alongside his responses to Apple’s complaint, Prosser raised multiple affirmative defenses.
Among them, he argues that Apple failed to state valid legal claims, did not suffer recoverable damages, failed to mitigate any damages, and that some of the alleged trade secrets had already been disclosed in public sources before his videos were published.

The filing also argues that, if anyone is liable for the alleged disclosure of Apple’s confidential information, responsibility rests with Ramacciotti rather than Prosser.
Prosser has asked the court to dismiss Apple’s complaint with prejudice and award him attorney’s fees and legal costs. The lawsuit remains ongoing, and the court has not ruled on the merits of Apple’s claims or Prosser’s defenses.
Despite the ongoing legal battle, Prosser has continued publishing videos about unannounced Apple products. In recent months, he has shared what he claims are detailed looks at Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone, including renders, alleged specifications, and software features, even as the lawsuit over his earlier iOS 26 leaks continues to move through federal court.
