Moonlight Peaks Tips and Tricks
You’re free to craft, farm, and create your home as you’d like to in Moonlight Peaks — but here are a few handy tips and tricks to help you get started:
- Have to return to your home every night to save — If you quit the game before you return home and save your progress, the entire night will be wiped. You’ll have to start the night again if this happens. Save the heartbreak and remember to sleep in your Coffin at home at the end of each night to save!
- Listen to your alarm! — If you’re out too late, the alarm will start binging at 05:30 and you need to get home quick before sun up! Night cycles run from 6pm to 6am.
- Build Storage as soon as you can — You’ll collect a lot of resources, and some of these are seasonal, so create a space where you can place plenty of storage containers to sort out and store your belongings.
- Catch the Soul Blobs — They’re worth catching as Death rewards you with vital items and features, such as the ability to adjust how long a night lasts for.
- Build a lot of Kegs first — When you first start your farm, have at least three or more Kegs built and constantly on the go. Their produce typically sells for a lot of Coins and it takes minimal effort to use them.
- Use Hellkitten for digging and running — Not your pet, but your Hellkitten is extremely useful when it comes to digging up soil to prepare to plant in, it costs less Energy in this form too. Also, Hellkitten you is very fast and makes it quicker to get from one place to another.
- Dig up swirls — You’ll see random swirls and sparkles on the ground as you explore the map, dig them up as they can contain anything from Coins, to Seeds, to important crafting recipes.
- Focus on the main story until you complete ‘Magic of the Seeds’ — You can take it at your own pace, but I recommend focusing on the story quests until you complete ‘Magic of the Seeds’ with Luna. This will then mean you’ve got a full set of Tools to be working with.
- Pay attention to opening hours — Some shops are open all night, while others like the Howling Hammer have strict opening hours each night. It’s worth knowing these, so if you’ve got something important to buy, you know where to head first.
- Purchase Spells as soon as possible — When Spells become available at Webb of Wonders, you should purchase all of them as soon as possible. This is because they will help you conserve energy when farming. Yes, you need Mana to cast spells, but it leaves your energy levels free for other activities.
- Give ‘loved’ gifts on Birthdays — If you’re trying to woo a specific resident, make sure to give them a gift they ‘love’ on their birthday. Their birthdays provide a friendship boost to any gift, but give them something they love and soon they’ll love you.
