Having a political stance is good, but turning that stance into one’s identity is debatable, as many on Reddit debated how over-the-top an anti-Trump truck driver in North Carolina came off. Reddit user LEEROY_MF_JENKINS spotted the individual driving in Winston-Salem; they rode a pickup truck covered with tacky flags hanging out the side and back. One was even being slightly dragged on the concrete.

One of the flags reads, “Is he dead yet?” while another noticeably has “F[expletive] Trump” printed on it. Sharing a photo of the spectacle on r/pics, LEEROY_MF_JENKINS doesn’t add any additional context to their post. However, with how active the comment section was, they didn’t need to. Hundreds upon hundreds bashed the truck driver, with many claiming he looks like he’d belong on the “other side.”
“The problem with this (beyond road safety) is that the legibility is so low it’s probably just being interpreted as Pro-Trump,” remarked a commenter. “This person is every bit as unhinged as their rabid MAGA counterpart, but their message is better,” said another user.
Many Redditors Believe the North Carolina Truck Driver Could Be a Former Member of MAGA
“This strikes me as someone who was an adamant Trump supporter and then became anti-Trump…just using the same methods to show their stance,” suggested a third. “What do you bet this same dude had pro trump flags flying 10 years ago?” questioned a fourth. “2.5 years or less and this nightmare is over,” sighed a fifth.
Countless others shared the same idea: this person could have been a Trump supporter at one point, though there was zero evidence by OP or anything else to support this claim. After all, North Carolina law does allow people to have flags attached to their vehicles, though it’s undeniable that this truck driver’s display is anything but moderate.
Trump supporters with over-the-top displays on their vehicles have gone viral on Reddit before, so it’s not surprising to see why so many Redditors would connect this truck driver’s behavior with MAGA. However, one commenter made a thought-provoking point about such people: “If you have political bumper stickers on your car regardless of candidate, you’re probably unbearable.”
