Palworld’s 1.0 patch notes are so big that the devs have struggled to fit them on Steam, with the document surpassing 10,000 words.

Pocketpair has pulled a Baldur’s Gate 3 and revealed a patch notes document so big that fans are questioning if they’ll be playing a “completely new” game on July 10.

According to the store page, Palworld’s 1.0 launch will see a whole host of additions, from new areas and enemies to Pals like the viral humanoid cat girl Sekhmet. However, it’s the huge 1.0 patch notes that have left the community’s jaws on the floor.

Palworld 1.0 patch notes are massive

While the devs have remained tight-lipped about what’s actually in the patch, Palworld community manager Bucky teased fans by sharing a blurry image of the document alongside the following message:

“One day left until Palworld 1.0. I’ve been getting a ton of requests to ‘post the 27 pages’ of the patch notes early, so I shall oblige. Here you go,” Bucky wrote on X.

He then followed it up with another screenshot of the patch notes in a Google Doc, revealing the document spans 40 pages, contains 10,626 words, and has 66,550 characters. So, this thing is BIG!

According to Bucky’s post, the patch notes were initially rejected by Steam due to them being over the 32,000-character limit. However, the community manager revealed that the document has since been fixed “without making any compromises,” but as you can imagine, the sheer size of the patch has left fans even more hyped.

“Jesus fricking Christ! If those are the patch notes, it’s basically a completely new game,” wrote one commenter. “That says 27 pages of patch notes? You gonna release it as a hardcover?” joked another.
