A 13-year-old Disneyland guest was evaluated at a local hospital after exiting a ride vehicle on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure before the attraction had reached its conclusion.
According to Disneyland Resort officials, the incident occurred on June 21 when the guest climbed out of a log ride vehicle on the attraction. A cast member immediately stopped the ride after noticing the guest had exited the boat.
After leaving the vehicle, the teen continued along part of the attraction’s path before being assisted by cast members.
Witnesses claim boy went down attraction’s final drop
Multiple park-goers who said they witnessed the incident shared accounts on Reddit, claiming they saw the boy slide down the ride’s final drop after leaving the vehicle.
According to Disneyland’s website, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ends with a 50-foot hill.
As a precaution, the teen was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and was later released. The Anaheim Fire Department also responded to the incident.
Disneyland officials said the attraction was inspected the following morning by California Division of Occupational Safety and Health officials, who approved the ride to reopen the next day.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is based on Disney’s 2009 animated film The Princess and the Frog and officially opened at Disneyland in November 2024. The ride replaced Splash Mountain, which permanently closed at the California park in May 2023.
The incident comes just months after multiple Disneyland cast members were hospitalized following reports of an unknown odor near the park’s Star Tours attraction.
Seven employees were taken to local hospitals after experiencing dizziness and shortness of breath in March 2026, with officials later attributing the issue to a reaction involving contractor building materials backstage.
