Marvel fans have been desperately trying to figure out the plot of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and star Tom Holland says some of the most out-there fan theories are actually accurate.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to be one of the biggest movies of 2026, as the MCU continues to build towards Avengers: Doomsday this December.
With the film confirmed to be Peter Parker’s longest outing to date, Sadie Sink’s mystery role, and record-breaking trailers packed with villains, fans have naturally been coming up with theories about what’s going to happen.
As always, these range from the plausible to the absolutely insane, but the stars of the movie have made it clear that we shouldn’t write off the strangest ideas.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day fans have been “spot on” with theories
“Some of the wildest fan theories are like weirdly accurate to what is happening in the movie,” Tom Holland said in an interview with Vanity Fair France. “I feel like I don’t want to give any fuel to the flames before the movie comes out.”

The actor, who is known for spoiling past MCU movies, insisted his “lips are sealed,” but his wife and co-star Zendaya also added that fans have been spookily right in some of their predictions.
“What Tom and I enjoy is looking at people’s fan theories and thinking some are spot on, some are really far off and some have really great ideas,” she explained. “I’m not sure I can think of any off the top of my head but people are very creative.”

Ever since the first trailer dropped, fans have speculated about how and why Peter starts to mutate and who Sadie Sink is actually playing, with the mutant Jean Grey being the most common theory.
Many also think Daredevil will appear, given that Matt Murdock showed up in No Way Home, The Punisher is confirmed to feature, and some of the trailer shots appear to have characters scrubbed out.
There’s also the question of whether or not Peter will be officially reunited with Ned and MJ after Doctor Strange erased their memory of him in the previous movie.
All of these mysteries will finally be answered when Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theatres on July 29. In the meantime, check out every other Marvel movie and TV on the horizon.
