A Chinese gamer has the internet buzzing after video showed him refusing to quit playing even after hot water was spilled on him.
No pain, no gain. That’s the mentality one Chinese gamer had while playing Delta Force at an internet cafe.
In a video that has migrated from Chinese social media to other platforms like Instagram and X, a man was in a room at an internet cafe playing Delta Force when a waitress walked in carrying a drink.
Suddenly, the woman accidentally lost control of the tray, causing hot water to spill all over the man, who was locked in on the game.
While many would quit and do something to deal with the pain, this man was so focused, he fought through and stayed completely glued to the screen.

According to translations from RT, the waitress tried to help the man, but he ignored her and continued on.
“Ah, get up quickly!” she urged after burning the man. “Sorry, my bad. I burned you.”
Not deterred, the gamer told her to “nevermind” as he was in the middle of playing.

“I’ll just come back later then, but what should I do if you get blisters?” she asked.
“Just let it go,” the man urged, even rejecting her suggestion of getting ice cubes and instead just requesting a new cup while he stayed focused on securing a kill in the game.
Footage of the interaction has gone viral, amassing over 4M views on one X post alone. Many fellow players voiced admiration for the man’s determination instead of going AFK.
