One Piece Chapter 1186 brings an end to Brook’s flashback and turns the limelight back to the present, so here’s what to expect.
The memories of the Straw Hat musician took us back several years in the past, when he lived in the Esperia Kingdom. Saved from poverty and given a good life by King Reuben, he was steadfastly loyal to the king, his wife Candelle, and their daughter Shuri.
Chapter 1185 revealed the beautiful times Brook spent with the royal family and how all that crashed and burned. Fourteen years after the Celestial Dragon’s visit to Esperia, a mysterious mist slowly poisoned the whole country until it was unable to pay the yearly tribute to the World Government.
Instead of sacrificing his subjects to be the Celestial Dragons’ slaves, King Reuben chose to fight them. This ultimately led to Princess Shuri killing her father in front of an unknown man, as witnessed by Brook. What happens after that will be revealed in One Piece Chapter 1186.

Titled ‘Once More,’ One Piece Chapter 1186 picks up at the moment when Brook witnesses Princess Shuri in a new form, donning horns and wings, and stabbing King Reuben in cold blood. She says she killed him to stop the war in the Esperia Kingdom.
It turns out Gunko’s biological father is the Holy Knight Saint Manmayer Growlo, the man who visited Esperia fourteen years ago and is currently in the room with them. Growlo has the same heterochromatic eyes as his daughter.

Gunko stabs Brook in the head and leaves the kingdom with Growlo. Brook survives the attack, but when he finally wakes up, he’s in immense shock and makes himself believe that all of this is just a dream. His flashback ends here.
The scene then turns to the fiery battle between Imu and Prince Loki. As they fight, Imu reminisces about how things were 800 years ago, but his words are soon interrupted. Monkey D. Luffy has finally joined the fight, ending One Piece Chapter 1186 by delivering a crushing punch to Imu’s face, similar to how he punched Saint Charlos in Sabaody.
