Body-cam footage recorded by police officers has been released on YouTube, revealing more of the incident that saw JiDion arrested outside a McDonald’s in Michigan.
Jidon Armani Adams, also known as JiDion, was arrested on June 22 after he, fellow streamer Skeeter Jean, and an entourage of fans arrived at a McDonald’s in Woodsville, Michigan to confront an alleged squatter.
Since the arrest, members of his community organised a peaceful “Free JiDion” protest, and he has been released on $10,000 bond. YouTube channel Code Blue Cam has released police body-cam footage showing the lead-up and aftermath of the incident, as seen by the arresting officers.
What the body-cam footage shows
When officers first arrived on the scene, JiDion was still streaming. The officers told them to leave the property or would be arrested. and JiDion asked: “Do you genuinely not have anything better to do?”. The officer then replied: “Do you not have anything better to do?”. The incident escalated from there.
JiDion’s streaming camera, given to a pedestrian who was subsequently arrested, captured only part of the incident. Police body-cam footage, however, reveals that the fan was arrested for breaching the peace, while JiDion argued that the pedestrian had not trespassed and that the charges would not stick.
JiDion was then arrested for disorderly conduct and led to a police vehicle. While being escorted to the vehicle, JiDion protested further. “I am a multimillionaire. I can take this as far as you want,” he said. “You will be in a deposition and you will be arrested.”
He then instructed his entourage to organize him a lawyer, while he was placed into the police vehicle. JiDion argued that he was too big to fit into the backseat, and the officer tried to force him inside. “Do you really want to abuse me, officer?” JiDion said. “You’re trying to push me but I can’t scoot.”

While the junior officer escorted JiDion to jail, JiDion said that the police had violated constitutional rights and repeated his earlier arguments.
At the end of the video, JiDion can be seen arriving at the jail at the same time as the pedestrian from earlier. JiDion greeted him and offered to pay for his bond and civil rights lawyer, again claiming that the charges would not stick.
His pre-trial hearing is scheduled for July 13.
