Late July is bringing one of the summer’s biggest flavor trends to the snack aisle with the launch of its new Pickle Lemonade tortilla chips.

The limited-time release is part of the brand’s “Summer Batch” lineup and takes inspiration from the viral pickle lemonade drink that has gained traction across TikTok and social media throughout the season.

According to Late July, the chips combine bright lemon zest with the briny flavor of dill pickle, translating the trending beverage into a crunchy snack format.

The company says the flavor was designed to capture the sweet, tangy, and salty notes that have helped make pickle lemonade one of the year’s most talked-about drinks.

The launch comes as unusual pickle-based products continue to gain popularity among consumers seeking new flavor combinations.

Late July says pickle lemonade trend inspired new chip flavor

In a statement announcing the release, the brand explained that the viral beverage directly influenced the creation of the new tortilla chips.

“At Late July, we take inspiration from that moment when summer feels endless, when there’s time to slow down and share a savory snack with friends and family,” the company said

“Pickle Lemonade has been the drink everyone’s talking about this summer, and we couldn’t resist translating that bright, briny, citrusy magic into our Flavored Tortilla Chip lineup.

Made with organic yellow corn and avocado oil, our new limited-time Pickle Lemonade tortilla chips deliver that same delightfully unexpected flavor experience with high-quality ingredients for the health-minded consumer.”

The company cited consumer interest in both dill pickle and lemonade flavors as part of the decision to release the product. According to data referenced by the brand, 37% of US chip consumers are interested in seasonal flavors, while 52% have tried and enjoyed pickle-flavored salty snacks.

The launch comes as pickle-flavored products continue popping up across the food industry.

Earlier this year, Smoothie King partnered with Grillo’s Pickles on a limited-edition pickle smoothie made with real pickles, bananas, kale, and coconut water, while brands ranging from KFC to Pabst Blue Ribbon have also embraced pickle-inspired menu items and drinks.
