A 1v1 game where you bark into your microphone to outbark your opponent is going viral, and it’s just as stupid as it is amazing.
Annoyed at your friend after they convinced you into buying a full-price game that you only played once? Are you on a ranked losing streak in LoL or can’t snag that Warzone win? Maybe you’ve been having a tough time at school or work and just need to let off some steam?
Enter Bow-wow Battle, a 1v1 fighting game that swaps adrenaline-fueled punches for loudmouthed barks. As the name suggests, the viral 1v1 battler puts you in the paws of a yappy little dog who wants nothing more than to bark his little head off, and it’s just as silly as it sounds.
Barking mad fighting game goes viral
Unlike Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, or the newly released Invincible VS, Bow-wow Battle doesn’t require you to master any button combos. Instead, all you need is a microphone and a good set of vocal cords.
The aim of the game is simple: outbark your human opponent into submission. However, before you go doing your best Pavarotti impression, it’s important to note that only barks count.
Both your voice volume and the number of barks will move the tug-of-war gauge, so you’ll need to develop a proper woofing technique to avoid barking up the wrong tree and giving your opponent the ultimate victory.

You can either invite your friends for some loudmouthed 1v1s (who needs Rust, right?) or prove your bark is worse than your bite on the world stage. There are currently seven dogs to choose from and even an eight-stage boss battle story mode, just in case you wanted to warm up your woofs before getting serious in multiplayer.

Viral game makes you battle your Steam backlog in a gladiator arena

Just be warned, though, your nocturnal barking might lead to some awkward interactions with your neighbors or family members, so it might be best to leave it for when everyone’s out of earshot.
Bow-wow Battle isn’t the only bizarre game that has made headlines this year, as one indie title went viral for turning players’ Steam backlogs into gladiator arena fights, while another turned random Wikipedia pages into Pokémon cards you can collect.
Hell, there’s even a cat brushing browser game that is as addictive as it is terrifying.
